Woke up at 6:30 to a loud crash/bang sound that rattled the house -- turns out there was an explosion at an apartment building downtown, a couple of miles away. As far as I can tell, there are a few injuries but no fatalities, thank god, but the building is basically destroyed. Unbelievable.

I just found out my uncle is in the hospital and not doing well. Non-covid. In addition to concern for my uncle, I'm unhappy that my dad is now out and about (including in the hospital) dealing with this instead of safe at home with my mom.
