Timelies all!
Health~ma to your household, sj.
We got the application in to renew Mr. S's passport.(His had expired) In order to get it done today, we had to drive to the middle of nowhere to do it, but it's done.(Expedited, because there's a convention in Toronto in the middle of August we want to attend.)
I hope ltc feels better soon.
I drove to and from work today on my own. I wasn't so sure about driving home because I had (and still have) a headache. I need to find some fit over sunglasses or migraine glasses or something to wear to work because the florescent lights are not good. The sunglasses I have are too dark to really wear indoors and so I end up straining to see things which doesn't help. I have found some options online but they are pricey and I'm not sure about wearing tinted colored glasses for hours a day....plus I don't want to spend the money. otherwise work was mostly ok.

Active day. Did the gym (again!) at 6:30 this morning. We had the place to ourselves today, which was nice. I think the most has been maybe 5 people? It is a small town. The HS graduating class this year is 19! Then went home and fussed a bit with this and that before going to my sisters and kayaking around the lake. Then we spent some time on her deck so I could get sun on the backs of my legs. Home again now. Going to break down a bunch of boxes that I had put aside in my burn pile, but I have way more than I need for kindling. Expect sister in a bit to watch some more Umbrella Academy. Then later making dinner for my sister and my nephew and family.
What's happening in your life this weekend? I'm sorry to hear the sj and ltc are quarantined. Sucks. May it be as easy and quick as possible.

Unpacking books and putting them on the new bookshelves! Then getting other locals to take our boxes and moving paper.
Enjoying our last day with ND's family and my mom in Montana before we head home tomorrow.
Mmmmm, bookshelves!
It is so lovely that your mother was able to join you in Montana, Pix. I hope it was renewing being surrounded by love and beautiful countryside.
Made it through the in-laws' visit.
Woo! Was wondering if you were going to need help with body disposal.
Good to know, Dana.
Sounds like a lovely day, Laura.
I hope your and ND's time in Montana was a delight.
I had a great dinner with some friends last night -- we all used to work in a law firm together and hang out as regular friends, too, in the early nineties. One of them was a newly minted lawyer at the time, and the two others eventually decided to do the same.
We started a tradition of going out to dinner for our birthdays way back then, would do teas, and we had a fun holiday shopping day thing we did, all kinds of things. We just really got along so well, and we LASTED. Quite amazing when I think about it.
There was probably a ten year lag where we more or less fell out of touch (and I wasn't in the area), but we got the band back together when I moved back to VA in 2018, and it's like old times, if less frequent. A little challenging during hospitalization and pandemic, but we were all there when the tides rolled back. Good friends, man. The universe has been exceedingly generous to me in that regard, and that's huge.
Today is lounging, reading, a little cleaning. We might get ice ream out later.

That's so great! I've had some of that with reconnecting with college friends through my alumni group. New friendships are wonderful, but renewed friendships are also fantastic with extra years of depth.
