Should've gotten each bat their own vaccination, I guess.

OMG you guys Covid SUCKS. Like it really, really, sucks.
I'm sorry! Too many people I know are getting infected despite being vaccinated. Not good.
I fly to Texas on Sat and I am really not thrilled with the prospects of not getting it again.
Maria, I'm so terribly sorry. I hope the local community is a comfort to you.
JZ and David, I have been watching the moving travails and cheering - did you hear me? - though I am outraged/not surprised about the detritus the detritus human left in the attic. Has it all been relocated to the dump now?
Timelies all!
Everybody's home now. Last night was a little rough with Mr. S, but we got through it. Tomorrow's back to work...
vent warning
mac started a new job yesterday. just the training week.
he has not had a job since.....end of April.
He texts me at 5 my time "I'm sick, where can I get COVID tested." he never even went to work today (work starts at 6am), but did not text me UNTIL 5!! my text to him "did you try googling COVID tests near me? also most cvs and walgreens have self-tests" - that was almost an hour ago. no response.
I SWEAR TFG. He may actually be sick, he never got a vaccine. BUT FFS. how you go all this time and not get sick and then get sick on day 2 of new job and when I am going to be there in 3 days!?!?! HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS AND even if true I AM PISSED.
Oh msbelle, I'm sorry that Mac is being such an irresponsible ass.

It has been! Our guy, Landis, spent 2.5 hours filling up his very big pickup truck and we are unburdened by their past.
I don't know if I mentioned, but I found her clippings up there (she was a local writer, he was a photographer) and you could see them slowly coming together. His nude drawings of her, and his photographs of her when he was in love, and his portfolio when his daughter was younger. All the wedding gifts tossed into the attic (like a framed drawing of their two family crests).
Then the tidbits from the eldest daughter who was obviously pretty bitter about her dad's behavior. She's the one that showed us how to go get on the roof. And there in the corner were all the cigarettes she smoked while she brooded up there, out of sight of her mother.
Just all the details of their marriage from courting and love to bitterness and trash.
Beginnings of a novel, there, David. I'm glad the detritus is gone.
Sympathies to those of you in pavement-melting climes. Our heat was running night before last. Our temps are supposed to be up to spring this weekend. I have unplugged the space heater in my icebox of a bath. I have not completely removed it from the room yet, though.
Jessica and Tom and Steph and others still dealing with long covid--pushing health vibes in your direction.
Maria, I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. Peace and comfort to you and your family.
