I’m glad the second surgery went ok, Zenkitty.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Ugh, Hil, that's no fun.
Hey Hil, in case you had to skip and skim, I don't know if this is up your alley, but I didn't want you to miss this opportunity from Matt the Bruins fan. [link]
Timelies all!
Tired. Dealing with Mr. S, our Tazmanian Devil, does not help.
I am so fucking angry right now .
M and his mom are going to leave soon to go over to his brothers and they are all going to do Xmas like there is no pandemic. His brother and his family, his oldest niece and her boyfriend, his sister and her family, his brother's best friend and their family.
That's over 20 people. Possibly more.
And inside ina double wide trailer so there is no way to social distance
Askye, I don't blame you. They're taking your choice away from you.
All of the local members of my husband's family are going to my sister-in-law's tonight, except for us. "You've gotta live your life," is their refrain. We've always had a lovely time at the Christmas Eve gathering, but I'm so angry at/worried about them, it's a relief not to talk to them. DH is fit to be tied.
Even after I told them we had a customer come in looking for kid's face masks-- he pulled down his mask to ask where they were because-- his family has THE COVID.
I ate lunch in the breakroom because 1) a co worker brought tamales to share and I had to heat it up and 2 ) it was pouring down raining and I didn't want to run to my car and eat and run back. When I was first in the break room there was 3 of us all distanced, but the time I finished eating more people came in and2 shared a table. I had my mask back on by that time.
Several people have talked about going to see family and friends and the get togethers they are having and it's just so frustrating to hear.
I keep saying I don't think assume that the M's extended family has covid. But I could have it and spread it around.
And M and his mom went shopping and of course it was busy and of course they are using that as a reason why it's ok to go and eat and share a small closed space for hours.
I know I take more risks at work than I should, we have a tiny area where we can keep our water bottles, etc and so we end up with our masks off at different times in the same space.
We all have to end up taking risks through out the day but a big thing is figuring out which risks you can avoid.
And M and his mom went shopping and of course it was busy and of course they are using that as a reason why it's ok to go and eat and share a small closed space for hours.
Huh? That makes no sense. I'm so sorry you have to put up with that, askey, and that you have no choice in your work.
4 of my husband's 7 nieces (all in MI) have had COVID now and his one sister and her husband. I don't know what most of the nieces have been up to but his sister and her husband have been plenty cavalier about following any kind of pandemic guidelines. They had dinner inside a restaurant a couple of weeks ago for her husband's bday, right before they tested positive. It's pretty infuriating. But at least his other sister and her husband and, most importantly, Bob's parents are taking it seriously. And my family all is.
I'm sorry, askye. I wish I could think of something you could do about it.
I ordered a ridiculous amount of food on the expectation that it will last me through the long weekend. Have had potstickers and wonton soup today, don't think I will need to touch the entrees until tomorrow
