Our wings are not tired.

I am sorry, Tom. May it pass quickly and easily. It sucks when people who are being responsible get the damn thing anyway.

Sheryl, I hope that the Zoom sessions bring some peace of mind.

Thrive to spite them

I'm sorry Tom. I hope you start to feel better.

Steph I think aliens colonizing Earth is harmless. It's the reptiles that are disguised as humans that seems to be the dangerous wingnuttery.

I'm headed to Mom's to see E ! We only get today and tomorrow morning . I don't know if there will be time in August before he goes to school. When he gets out of camp Mom is taking him straight to meet my brother half way. I'm going to try and ride along with them. E has either Boy Scout camp or his Italy trip after.

A few months ago Mom decided to sell her townhouse in FL instead of renting it out after my uncle moved out. She just listed it and has had4 offers including one that is $21,000 over asking !!

Sheryl I hope that Mr S is doing well and that you will get to Zoom every night.

Oh, I'm sorry, Tom. Wishing you a quick and mild case with no after effects.

Sheryl, thinking of you all, and I hope you get to talk soon.

Askye, good for your mom and the house sale options! That's great

I know I'm missing a ton, but I'm reading along and sending appropriate vibes.

Happy Birthday, javachik!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, I am sorry to hear that. I always kind of liked the lizard people living under Mt Shasta thing, I am bummed it's not harmless

Happy javachik day!

I am not having a good brain day. I tried to get up before dawn to see the planetary conjunction or whatever you call it, and the supermoon, but though it was dark when I woke up by the time I got out the door it was too light to see anything astronomical (I might have still been able to see the moon but I did not) although technically not sunrise yet. Went to the gym and forgot to bring in my towel and toiletry bag, and then felt weak and achy and accidentally paused my fitbit during my workout so cut it short, and I seem to have lost the red scrunchie that I wanted to wear today. But I followed that up with a trip to a new coffee shop I have been wanting to check out and I'm very pleased with that - Rosemary Ginger Soy Latte is even more delicious than I hoped, and the bagel was quite decent. And this coffee shop could easily be on my bike commute if I take the longer but not so busy route (it adds 50% to my commute distance! 3 miles instead of 2 miles. So, you know, more manageable than it sounds) which I am pretty excited about, having nothing between me and work is a drag. But I managed to think I had lost my car keys while in the coffee shop - when I found them they were (brace yourself) IN MY POCKET so I do feel very stupid now.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Yeah, apparently the lizard people is an anti-Semitic thing. Pity. We need more harmless wingnuttery.

It's Wedding Eve for us. I took the day off for last minute stuff today, but we are shockingly well prepared. So it's pretty much just a day off. I'll take it!

Ceremony is just the two of us, officiant, photographer and a botanical garden in Veinna, VA. I made a res at a nice restaurant to celebrate, and then... life continues pretty much as usual. I am pleased with how we're doing it.

I'm also looking forward to planning a big, kick-ass party for friends and family (probably Spring) to celebrate -- somehow, separating the party and the ceremony makes it all feel so not-stressful to me. I'm so glad we are doing it this way.
