Punishingly Intricate

Lol on is this a "new" young person thing! That's what we did before there were computers to dick around on! If you don't have work for them, let them read their books. God knows we can all use more computer-free time. If it bothers you, make time to work out tasks they can do without your supervision, ones that are maybe lower priority they can do when they finish higher priority tasks.

Sheryl, I'm so sorry. The emergency department is not a reasonable way to have to manage your son's ongoing issues. I'm sorry it's the best resource available to you right now.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's funny, one of the reasons I read so many more e-books than physical books is because I can have a tab open on my computer while I'm working and just tab over to it when I have a bit of time. It's just more convenient, really, though also a bit more discreet, I guess.

Yes, this. Thanks for finding words for me, lisah!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Chaos reigns! Landis the Contractor came with his power drill and his 5 year old son and got the whole wall's worth of shelving down in about 15 minutes. Then for bonus he whipped out his knife, cut our old carpet in half and helped us yank it out from under the couch and furniture and got the whole thing out to the back of his truck for a dumpster run.

We are officially at the stage where nothing is normal and we just have to plow ahead to get to the other side.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

We are officially at the stage where nothing is normal and we just have to plow ahead to get to the other side.

Ugh, moving is THE WORST, *but* I just keep thinking of the pictures of the new house you've posted on FB, and how all the weird state-of-limbo chaos is going to be SO worth it when everyone is finally all settled in.

Oh I know this stage so well, but the other side of it is going to be SO AMAZING!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We ended up getting him into an inpatient ward at Children's Hospital, since the ER visits weren't helping. I don't know how long he'll be there. Right now I'm feeling like a complete failure as a mom.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I hope it helps. It all sounds so hard with no easy solutions.

{{Sheryl}} That must have been a tough decision. I hope it helps.
