Missed opportunity at Avengers Mansion when the Ikea boxes are opened up!
Timelies all!
Meh. Still having difficulty getting Mr. S to go to sleep at a reasonable time.
Good luck with the Assembly.
This morning was M's nephew's graduation. it was at 7:30 in the morning for some ungodly reason. I didn't not go since a ticket was not obtained for me. I was not upset with this.
M said he and his mom were the only ones wearing masks. No students. No school staff. No one in the audience. No one.
I've been lax about wearing it into some stores but I'm trying to remember but seeing people masked is a very rare sight. I'm sure when I go back to work I'll be one of the few people wearing a mask.
Also tomorrow morning is my Functional Capacity Evaluation to return to work. It's at 8 am and will be 3-5 hours. I'm hoping for the best and that they'll be able to see the problems I have with concentration and how I get all fuzzy headed when I exert myself. So fingers crossed it goes well, whatever that ends up meaning.
Good vibes to you askye!
Not only did Our Flag Means Death get renewed, but Mark Blankenship from the extended TWOP Universe is now winning Name that Tune!
Guh. Matilda let us look at her Yearbook and read the comments from her friends and her teachers.
First of all, it's a weird time capsule of 2022 in San Francisco because they were masked up all year. Unlike most of America. So all Club photos and candids are with masks. You can't really see anybody! But that's her reality.
Second, I can't emphasize enough how incredibly diverse her school is. Her high school is a Republican nightmare. Lots of hijabs, one girl in a full burqa, Asian majority, Black, Hispanic, Pacific Islander.
Third, her teachers adore her. They weren't just laudatory but so affectionate. The one word that came up in every comment, both teacher and friend was, "kind." But they also praised her humor, her intelligence, her thoughtful engagement, her creativity.
Fourth, she was voted "Most Likely To Put A Smile On Your Face."
Fifth, she's on the same row in her class picture with her boyfriend.
She's just a really good person and it's been a hard couple years.
That's lovely, Hec.
Evaluation~ma, askye!
Woken up a bit early this morning by an earthquake so I just got up and went to the gym and *still* was a few minutes late to the conference call scheduled a half hour before my usual start time. Sigh. But it's not anything I really needed to participate in. Having hard time settling into my usual routine, though.
JZ's up and out the door already to meet with the Wallpaper Lady.
Emmett's joining her to assemble the bed frames and the couch. We still haven't figured out exactly how we're going to orient the couch and TV setup.
Trying queso birria tacos from a nearby truck. Nom nom nom.
The FCE thing went well. I'm physically able to do a lot. At one point the guy asked me if I regularly had to carry what ever weight he had me because it was so heavy. I told him no. Like maybe rarely but not a lot. I can't remember how much it was but over 50 lbs.
The main issue was, of course, getting fuzzy headed and then having memory issues. The evaluation feels very fuzzy and like it happened a long time ago and that was my main issue. HOWEVER I didn't get as fuzzy headed as a I thought I would and while I was having some balance issues at the end it wasn't nearly what I thought it would be like..
So now I wait until the 15th. But at this point i'm sure I'll be going back to work I guess the week of the 19th ..so .. like 7 months after I hit my head.
