I did VERY LITTLE work today - I think I spent most of the day getting stuff out of my car and cooking stuff in my new microwave specific dishes (all three meals because I don't mind eating all my meals squished into an 8 hour day and cooking stuff at work was my purpose in getting these (they are our products, so it's product testing, sort of)) but I had two successful meetings so I think it probably looks like a productive day from the outside. Also, wore one of the masks the company provided (fabric with our logo on it) and it's irritating me way more than the fabric masks I bought from eShakti that I generally wear. That little moldable wire over the bridge of the nose makes a difference, I guess. It took me all day to realize that's what this one is missing.

Huh. Our hybrid schedule just went from 3 days in the office to two, Tues and Thurs. Because of high gas prices and I guess that the hybrid thing has been working well. Probably will be a nice change, but will take some adjustment, switching my routine every day during the week is not my ideal, but I can make it work.

I don't mind that the body has decided that we wake up at 6:30 or 7 every day, now that it's warm. I mind a little bit that the body refused to go to sleep until 1. I really mind that the body pulled this trick on a day where I can't have anything to eat or drink until 1PM.

Thrive to spite them

Welp.I got a phone call from the physical therapy place about my referral for therapy and I was like noooo I have an appointment for a FCE tomorrow. Ok, they say, sorry for the confusion.

Then they call back--my FCE has been cancelled by worker's comp because it's out of network.

Worker's comp MADE the appointment. I ... don't even know at this point. you would think they'd be doing everything in their power to get me back to work so they could stop paying me but..whatever.

Edit--just got a call from Corvel to reschedule at a different facility because "the other one doesn't do FCEs anymore" .. sure... anyway new FCE is June 2.

Dang, EMTs at the gym this morning. Not for me, to be clear, but yikes

ETA: when I actually left I saw 3 cop cars as well, which I suppose might be just part of emergency response but makes me think something else was going on than some guy collapsing in the locker room. I'll probably never find out what.

I totally spaced on signing ltc up for a camp this summer when Papa got sick. So now I'm scrambling to get her signed up for some things for the weeks we won't be away so that she doesn't spend all day watching TV.
