Oh Shir I am so sorry.

I’m up at this awful hour because Miley got her toes jammed in a gap in the thing we use as a step for them to get on and off my bed. She was getting down for water and her force really jammed them in there.instant howling, well more like a duck/goose barking actually.

All is ok now. I’ll have to check them in the morning to see if they are swollen. She did already walk on them and is back asleep. That where I need to be.

In the box my sister sent this year there is a gift bag labeled “stocking”. It’s taped together at the top and makes interesting noises when gently shaken. I’m being incredibly restrained and haven’t peaked at anything that came in the mail, except for the bag of fancy coffee my niece included alongside her gift. It was unwrapped! And I didn’t want it to go stale. Yup, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Just got a work call (our office is closed/everyone is on vacation, but there is still year-end work happening), which I'm glad I answered because I definitely could not help! So I could just say that and be done with it.

I am super reluctant to get out of bed and start working. Final day this week, I should just get it over with.

I do not like this trend of my boss sending something out to the team at 9 pm "for our meeting tomorrow" - no one is seeing that until a couple hours before the meeting and we'll have other things that need doing. Bah.

ION, for the last few days I keep returning to the idea that if the Whos of the Grinch story are the same as the Whos Horton hears, they are tiny and so the Grinch and Max and the roast beast must also be tiny and for some reason this is blowing mind. Like, the scale I have been imagining is just all wrong.

I also kind of wish that no one at my company had learned the phrase "directionally correct"

So last day of work for the week and EVERYONE HAS QUESTIONS! Luckily not my boss or big boss, but other employees and retirees and constituents. ARRGH. Well over half of these just get sent to other Departments, but do I know who they should go to? About half the time, I do not.

Porto's order was delivered to parents. I scaled it way down to just muffins and a loaf of Sourdough. Of course my parents are like "there is no need to do this, we are fine." and I am "YOU ARE NOT THE BOSS OF ME, LET ME HAVE FUN!"
