That is super flattering to you, flea, but didn't you only just get there yourself? They need to give you a minute before handing it all over. Especially with so many longtime people leaving and retiring and maybe not being available as the mentors and resources and passers-along-of-all-the-place's-secrets that you need.
I am so sorry for all the losses and funerals and the grief everyone is carrying.
I mean...I know Kate P. is (a) a Librarian and (b) looking to relocate out of TN. ijs.
Ha, flea already reached out to me! I'm really looking for a school library job, not a public library, plus it's still several hours away from my parents. And I've already committed to my school for next year, so I won't really start looking again now until next January.
Windsparrow, my condolences. I am very sorry for your loss, and keeping you and your family in my thoughts.
Sheryl, continued~ma.
Flea, yes, woah is the correct word. It is a lot. ~ma in every direction you will choose.
Met up with our general contractor, Landis (as recommended by Juliana's husband, Martin) this morning to go over the longish list of Things That Must Be Done before we move to the new house, and Emmett & Kalena move over into our current apartment.
Some of it requires timing (when to take down the wall of media units in our living room) and others involve timing plus emptiness (refinishing the floors at the new place before we start moving things in), and some of it's long term planning (build new back staircase).
It's all a big juggle. Fortunately I love change and find the process invigorating. No wait, I'm the opposite. I hate change and it makes me super crabby.
We still have to buy at least two new mattresses and one new box spring, as well as a new, bigger TV before the move - so we're hoping some Memorial Day sales magically appear to make that viable.
One small piece of advice - if you have the floors refinished, make sure you protect them before moving in furniture and so on. I knew someone who had the floors in her new apartment refinished, but didn't move in for a while. They used her apartment to store some of the major appliances for the other apartments and tore big gouges in the nice floors.
WindSparrow, I am so sorry.
Timelies all

Mr. S finally fell asleep around 10:30. He had an incident this afternoon at school that last 30 minutes. Sigh...
So for those of you who were in attendance or even just remember our wedding...yesterday was our 18th anniversary.
Oh, happy belated anniversary Hec & JZ! That was fast.
