Boo covid positives!! Crossing my fingers I don’t, I’ve been eating and drinking indoors lately. I was glad last night at the symphony that they arlequines vaccination and masking still! I guess because the wind instruments can’t mask and their patrons are on the elderly side….it was science fiction movie music? A lot of creeeeeepy sounds, single violin plaintively whining and big deep sounds coming for you sort of rumbling Jaws-esque. A bit repetitive in the end.
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Sorry you caught the plague, msbelle! Hopefully your symptoms will be mild. I'm just waiting for a variant you can catch by reading its name.
I had my first meeting with my new psychiatrist yesterday. (My former one retired, likely in reaction to his wife's death.) It went well, he made a really good first impression. He seems both very competent (amended my diagnosis regarding anxiety based on our interview, explained a number of things about how the meds work) and friendly/approachable.
That's great, Matt - those transitions are anxiety inducing in and of themselves sometimes.
I have an appointment with my PCP today and I’m hoping she’s sympathetic to just how awful my psych med PA is. ~ma that they don’t try to take me off my ADHD meds because it’s nice being a semi-functional human.
All the ~ma, sj.
Hooray for good doctors, and boo for bad doctors. I hate that it's so exhausting to have to gear up and fight doctors on things.
Gud I shouldn't be surprised but I always am when the GOP will in one breath argue for businesses to do what they want and free market blah blah and in the next do anything they can to restrict businesses and control what they can and can't do.
Yeah, it's a crazy law and massive government intrusion. I don't think it will amount to much after the courts work it out, but after Texas SB 8 I could be totally wrong and social media will be rendered unusable.
Glad to hear that, Matt! ~ma, sj. Sorry about the positive, msbelle.
Yikes on the law, Gud. I just don't even know any more, it seems like anything could happen.
Weird on the big empty space, JenP!
Being in the office is pretty nice, there are 2 other people here (that I have seen, in the office section of the building, I know the warehouse is active but they are all on the other side of doors from me) so the motion sensors are not turning the lights off on me all the time but I don't have a lot of ambient noise to put up with - not that that bothers me a whole lot, really, but it can be awkward when I am on Zoom and everyone can hear my cube neighbor's phone conversation...
My PCP does not prescribe my ADHD meds to anyone over 40. So I either have to deal with the asshat prescriber I currently have or find a new one. screams with rage
Um, what? That's bizarre. I'm so sorry, sj. ADHD meds are so hard to (a) get right (that is to say, effective) and (b) get access to, it's so frustrating!
