I have a lot of feelings about the current situation. After Trump was elected I thought we would be at this point in the first year of his presidency. But this is just a result of thr GOP being corrupt .

Except it's more than that. The Religious Right has been building power and influence for a long time. I've read articles over tbe past few years talking about this and how it started with school boards and pushing more to home schooling. And the Quiverful Movement is part of this. These groups also do a lot of ....grooming I guess ...for people to go into politics or some kind of leadership role to spread their influence.

I'm angry and just...a lot of feelings but I'm not surprised.

Last month South Carolina legislature voted to support a Constitutional Convention..the other way to change the Constitution and its never been done. But 13 more states agree and America faces the US Constitution being completely rewritten.

It sounds conspiracy theory crazy but.. I know but ...

And people act like all of this was decided a long time ago and ...I mean 1973. That's the year I was born. Heck birth control didn't become fully legal until 1972

Y’all. Good grief. The dog woke me up just before 1am wanting to go out. The doorknob wouldn’t turn. I jiggled that thing for a good 25 minutes and finally called my roommate (thankfully I have one right now! And they answered the phone in the middle of the night!!) and spent half an hour trying to figure out how to get the damn thing open—even after I unscrewed it (thankful for carpet so even though the small one I had was flathead rather than Phillips, it squeezed under) and we could see each other through the door knob hole, it still wouldn’t work! Finally a combo of fiddling with it and brute force shoulder slam they got it to open. The puppy was very relieved as he’d been like “mom I SAID I needed to go out!” But seriously wtf. Now I am wide awake. Thank god I have a massage scheduled Tuesday evening!

I'm sorry, sj. It is good that you were with him. Rest now and be comforted by the loving memories.

I don't want to think about the state of our world. I listen to news because I can't help myself, but then bury myself in fiction.

ltc insisted on going to school today. So, she’s there but both her and her teacher are aware that I will come get her anytime it gets to be too much. TCG offered to stay home with me today, but I sent him to work. I haven’t slept much the last couple weeks worrying and I’m just going to rest today. He’ll come home at lunch to make sure I remember to eat.
