Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I went to bed at 830 last night (though I didn’t go to sleep until about 9pm) and slept until almost 7 this morning. No idea why I was so tired! But needless to say I did not go dancing.
Tonight I am supposed to go to a “disco” themed event but realize I barely have any normal clothes that fit me, forget costume clothes! Ugh. I took a walk with the dog and a friend earlier and the weather is lovely here. I spent the last two hours ish cleaning my living room. Not really “cleaning” but “putting things away and moving them” and “throwing out a bunch of stuff” making room for a friend who is coming to stay for a while, tomorrow. It’s been over a year since I had a roommate and I’ve spread out!! Now I’m exhausted and still have no idea what to wear. Sigh.
Tim had to go in to work today (his company has some government contracts, and those deadlines can never be pushed back, so sometimes they work on Saturday), so I ran errands and got groceries, and now I'm trying to decide between fancy ramen and karaage chicken vs sushi for dinner. I think ramen & chicken are going to win because they're closer.
[edit] Ramen & karaage chicken won. Have to go pick it up in 10 minutes.
I went to the thrift store and got a shelf for the bedroom (actually I think it may have been some kind of standing desk..) to use instead of a dresser, since if I can't see it, things don't exist and I got a new computer chair that has a leaning issue that I didn't notice when I tried it out. But they were 40% off at the thrift store so that was a nice deal.
And then there was arts fair thing on main street and so I walked around and looked at things and the used book store was having a sale but I didn't go. I don't need to drag home things I'm not going to read or use and I've been doing that too much.
I made my first foray into book binding and bound together a little envelope junk journal thing. I messed up one hole and it wasn't on the spine and then kind of forgot what I should do and winged it instead of looking at youtube videos. I think it came out ok.

That's so cool -- I'd love to try that!
I posted on a FB group but I'll lost on my page. It's very much just a pamphlet but it's a start.
And I was on Tumblr today and apparently Misha Collins recently said he was or referenced being bisexual at a con or something. I'm not sure because my tumblr isn't as heavy on SPN stuff. I need unfollow some people and find new people to follow because dash has be one more and more about things I don't really watch. It used to be a small percentage was things I don't watch but it's gotten a lot larger lately.

Oh, that did pop up on my tumblr dashboard! One disaster bi amid the 24/7 OFMD posts.
There are a lot of options for bookbinding . I haven't really checked them all out but I know there is a ton of stuff on youtube and instragram and FB and probably tumblr since stuff ends up there. I'm trying not to fall down the rabbit hole of book binding because I really want to get into gelli printing but I'm holding off until June, when it's my birthday and I'll have gift ideas for my parents. So I need to get through enjoying gelli printing before I take on something new.
I just got my latest zine back from the printers, but I’ve been reluctant to say anything about it on social media, because I just assume that people will ignore me and I’ll be stuck with a pile of unsold books anyway.
I’m also trying to finish the edit of my San Francisco photos, but it’s hard because my brain keeps screaming at me that it’s NOT GOOD ENOUGH and that I need to ART HARDER.
Tom, you knew it is good enough to invest in printing and people can't buy it if they don't know it exists. Promote your shiz!

Yesterday, I saw that someone had printed out "Let's Go Brandon" on piece of paper in black ink, folded it into a rectangle and taped it on the inside of their rear window. I wanted to be irritated, but then I was just reluctantly amused that the guy couldn't be arsed to spend fifty cents on an
actual
bumpster sticker, which just shows how lazy and thoughtless those people are.
Also, in minor annoyance news, I went to get poke yesterday, and everyone behind the counter was wearing a mask below their nose. Now, I would have been fine had they not been wearing masks, but I was annoyed at the performative nature of it. I mean, I got my poke and everything, but still.
