I hope that yesterday being such a quiet day here meant that everyone was enjoying holiday festivities with loved ones, or a having a nice peaceful Sunday. Didn't do much here. Went to the dog park. The guys played pool and I read. Felt a bit melancholy because I used to make a big deal of Easter baskets and decorating and such, but no more. Maybe someday.

I am proud of myself because after church + Easter dinner (just four of us including my aunts), I went for a walk AND did a load of laundry!

Had Easter with old friends. Lovely. So happy when I get to do the things I move here to be able to do again.

The weather is going to make me sick, I swear. High 70s Sat, windy 50s yesterday, 30s overnight. Came into the office and the boilers are obviously freaked out also and running on high, office was 83 degrees!!!!

Last night I bought plane tickets and made hotel reservations for Mom & my trip to Vegas this fall. So exciting! So expensive! So looking forward to it!

I'm busy. Thankfully less busy cause Passover holiday, but still got stuff to do (I don't know how this keeps happening, I swear). Also have feelings about stuff, which I'm told is just part of being human but I still dislike. Mostly just trying to leave my job ASAP, but for something much, much, much better, so I'm allowing myself to be picky (because I can!) while also being very frustrated with the current place and really wanting to leave. It's not a great combo, y'all.

But you know, holiday is good. Not having to be at work is good. So... careful yay?

JZ and Matilda got dressed up for Easter. Then Matilda and her friend Mia got dressed up an entirely different way to go to Japantown for the Cosplay festival that's part of the Cherry Blossom Festival (which usually doesn't overlap with Easter).

I did my standard Sunday ramble through the Panhandle, stopped and chatted with my favorite comic book clerk at Comix Experience, and on the way home I stopped at Alembic for a drink. There I wound up having a fun conversation with two visiting Canadians (from Calgary!): Sheila and Matt. I got to give them lots of tips for things to see in SF and they were excited to try Zoetrope Cafe and 826 Valencia.

So... careful yay?

Mia got an Easter basket (well, an Easter gift bag filled with Easter candies and a chocolate bunny) and said she'd never had an Easter basket before (she'd go to egg hunts and there were goodies in the plastic eggs and she'd get to keep those, but never her own basket).
