I've heard so many Covid stories lately: this thing ain't going away. I'm just about the only person still masking in my office.
Speaking of work: I have 4-6 hours of meetings most Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It's fucking exhausting, and I can't get any actual work done those days. Today was fab: I was home, in my sweatpants, with no meetings, and I actually got a few things checked off my to-do list. And they gave us 2 hours off for the holiday weekend, yay.
Going to bed soon: I have to be up at the crack of dawn to take the dog to the Central Valley for what is likely to be her final agility trial: she's 9 and we are not actually getting better at this. So I'm probably going to retire her soon. Anyway it's going to be cold and rainy and I'm not really looking forward to it...

I did not, in fact, go to the Central Valley, and instead slept in and took the dog for a run in the rainy redwoods. I haven't gotten that soaked since Kilimanjaro, I suspect, but at least I was able to come home and get a warm shower. I should probably go do things but instead I'm crashed on the futon with a slightly damp but very warm GSD, and many tabs full of fanfiction...

I have had such a social weekend so far! I went to coffee with a work colleague/budding new friend. Then to lunch with my family. Tomorrow is Easter with Maria.
So weird after basically doing 3 total things since March 2020.

We had a surprise tornado last night, though the worst I've heard so far is some overturned cars in the next county. The restaurants beneath me packed about 150 staff and guests into a tiny basement for the duration.

I have made a mess of my taxes the last two years. Last year I was not holding state from paycheck (was never given the form, to fill out). This year I took out investments to buy mac a car and have capital gains to pay on that. fuck.
