But now you know he's looking for word vomit and rants, so you can give him that, I suppose. Do you get to do some kind of evaluation at some point?
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
A People person came around and gave everyone in the office (not many today) plastic Easter eggs full of crappy candy that I immediately looked at and thought "I don't want that at all" and yet now I have eaten almost all of it. What's the bad decision mascot, is it a mongoose?
Ugggggh and then I asked him a pretty nuanced question about citations (my source in this case is a series of casual conversations and it feels disingenuous to cite them as "interview" but there isn't really a more accurate option) and got a link to download the APA guidelines. My dude, I have clearly already looked this up, I was hoping you could provide me with a BETTER answer because the guidelines do not fucking apply to my use case.
In conclusion, I would like to go back to being on vacation where all I had to do was play board games, go whitewater rafting, and occasionally sit down and eat something.
::waves hands:: Be thou on vacation
Did it work?
I have signed back up for the movie pass thing at my local (chain, but it is literally the only movie theater in town, not even in my town which doesn't have one at all but the town next door) theater and committed to a ticket to Everything Everywhere All At Once. I feel good about that decision.
Timelies all!
Spent a good portion of the afternoon napping. Right now the cough and congestion are less than before, but we'll see how that goes. In the meanwhile I have my laptop, my tablet and plenty of books here.
$500 refrigerator parts and labor. Better than $1000-2400 for a new one.
Everything Everywhere All At Once
Oooooh I want to see this so much.
I’m 25 minutes early for my showing. First time in a theater since Before! So far no one else is in the auditorium, so that’s nice. Walking through the mall and being amongst the other customers in the lobby was weird but ok. The mall now has a tattoo parlor and what looks like a go kart course. I feel like a more knowledgeable and insightful person would be able to draw a lot of interesting conclusions from the differences between walking-through-the-mall-before-the-movie now and 30-40 years ago.
Congrats on the fridge repair, msbelle!
I hope it keeps mild, Sheryl. Did you have holiday plans?
I have a third viewing of EEAaW tonight. Woo!
I was sharing pieces from the store with Ple as we were there. Prompting her to gasp "Furniture porn! What is this place?"
You were torturing me with beaaaaaautiful thing! Torturing!
Poor L lost the bulk of her spring break (and her birthday) to... a cold. Not, thank goodness, COVID (multiple negative tests, including PCR, and same for the person who she caught it from), just a damn cold, but apparently, if you haven't had one for a few years, they hit like a damn truck. So that's been fun. (She said this morning that she feels like she's been speedrunning being sick. Went from meh to miserable Tuesday, better than meh to miserable with a slightly damp cough yesterday, and is now at "well, the cough is better and the fever's pretty much gone, but now my nose is stuffy AF" stage.
