That sounds so great, Hec! I’m so glad for you all.
I experimented with a weekend trip to the gym this morning and it was nice so hopefully that will help me motivate to get up and go on future Saturdays. Have not done any yard work yet but that is still the plan, just after some resting and killing about. The front yard is shady in the afternoon anyway.
I am looking forward to selling my home exercise equipment (I really only use the treadmill), and joining a gym after I move, -t. I miss the ritual and the buzz of people around me.
I can’t cut and paste easily (from multiple posts) on my phone or iPad, which I primarily read the board on, so a meara is tricky. I’ll say tho that unlike the WX days, we have an overwhelming amount of social media, and so just keeping up, much less, interacting, on all platforms is just something I can’t do.
Timelies all!
Ugh. Mr. S woke me up at 6:20 for no reason, and would not let me get any rest-asking for this , that and the other thing. We eventually got his meds in him. He has spent most of the day asleep on the computer room couch. Of course I worry that he won't go to sleep tonight.
Meanwhile, I've been to the supermarket, gotten lunch for all of us and am doing laundry. I'm sooo tired, and I need a break.

It’s nice to see your pixels here, Nanita! I’ve started the same couch to 5k training I did, um, 8 years ago, again. I’m finding it easier to make myself go to the gym and use the treadmill than just run around the neighborhood which is counterintuitive but I’m rolling with it. And if I go 25 times a quarter I can get reimbursed for nearly all my fees by my company, so that’s some good motivation.
I'm at the salon. I managed to get a few things done before I left and spent some time on the bus making calendar blocks for other things I want to check off my list. Then I will reward myself with queer pirates.
shrift, I miss being part of your movie-going rotation!
So do I! I haven't been in approximately a million years.
Back in WX days when we would read every post.
Yeah, as Nanita said it’s hard to copy and paste on iPad/iPhone instead of laptop. But I do read every post (at least in Natter) though it helps that it’s slowed down around here.
I miss being in shape but somehow the getting in shape is not appealing….
Ooh, both of those things are cool, -t. Y Remembering your doing that eight years ago is what inspired me to give it a try last Fall. I need to re-engage with it.
What's promoting your nice, java? New company or new post within same company? Or something totally different?
Hope you can find some rest time, Sheryl.
Nice, shrift. I need to put blocks on my calendar, but I've been resisting that discipline lately. It's not serving me well to resist it. What did you decide for hair?
JenP, I’m mainly moving to where I have a large circle of friends all within an hour (with about half of them within 20 min!). Chappaqua and immediate surroundings are really all about families who are here for the schools. Between Covid isolation, and being a single, childfree, working person, I find myself on the other side of Covid without anymore friends than I have locally than I did at the beginning! But I’ve got bunches of friends in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, and it’s gorgeous on the seacoast. And I still get to see the Alters because I’ve got to be onsite fairly regularly still. So I’ll have the best of all worlds, I’m hoping.
Currently I’m sitting in the glorious sun on my little Chappaqua porch awaiting the arrival of msbelle! I have tickets to Jason Isbell tomorrow night and she’s my date.
