Who's got weekend plans? Mine: ha, ha, ha -- put away the Christmas tree. Trees. And Birthday brunch for a friend on Sunday. (The trees are, at least, de-ornamented. It's just been a micro forest in the living room since the end of January.)
Casper and I are driving four hours each way to spend 18 hours with family including meeting my new niece. Unfortunately our work schedules are such that we basically never have the same two days off in a row.
Who's got weekend plans?
Gotta do the taxes. And put together a utility cabinet for the basement. Maybe even mow the lawn. Nonstop party, woo.
All yardwork all the time. Especially since I missed my window today and it is too hot but should be cooler over the weekend, fingers crossed
The whole town is involved in a 47 hour radio trivia contest, so we're going to be off and on playing and volunteering at the college radio station sponsoring it.
Oliver had an interesting pediatrician appointment today. He's recovering from walking pneumonia but still coughing. We ended up having the vaping conversation with the ped because he has tried pot with his boyfriend and vaped to ease anxiety. I explained to the doc that I have had the conversation about the dangers of vaping versus edibles and we have discussed micro dosing with both kids. She just smiled and said, "this is such a cool family."
Well--vaping's not cool but if kids are going to do it, I want them to have the best knowledge available and for them to make their own, educated decisions.
I love our pediatrician. She has a unicorn on her face shield.
You do have a great pediatrician Cash and you are cool family.
I went and walked a pretty good distance this evening I got 5000 steps in so I'm happy with that. It's been awhile since I felt like walking and the weather and sunshine cooperated. I still have brain fog but I'm trying to do things and hope doing things is retraining my brain.
The downside of today is I mentioned to M's mom that my mom is in Florida clearing out her townhouse (she's going to rent it to a non family member) and there's some of my stuff, so Mom has been texting me pictures but some of it she's going to bring up for me to go through. Because it's--like a box of random stuff and it's too hard to try and take pictures of it all. That led to the - you have too much stuff, the computer room is nasty (it's very messy. I'm trying but I keep getting brain fog and overwhelmed) . If it were up to M's mom there would be a desk, a chair, and the computer and that's it in here. And there would be the minimal of decorative items and nothing stored. And she gets really nasty about stuff and it makes me feel worse about the fact that I suck at organizing and I have been trying.
But then I saw an email from Credit Karma that I have a new credit score , and it went up by 27 points so .. that was kind of good.
I love our pediatrician. She has a unicorn on her face shield.
Because of brain fogginess and my eyes not quite really focusing like I would want them to I originally read this as
"I love our pediatrician. She's a unicorn in a face shield" ... like she's a one of a kind extra amazing doctor.
