Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

Our wings are not tired.

Mmmmm, socializing. The guy we are staying with goes Salsa dancing weekly at a local casino. They have lessons and stuff. He has a blast. I may go with him. I told him I seem to lack the salsa gene, but who knows.

Made a trip over to see my sister today to see if she needed anything. My other sister arrives for a visit on the 30th. Easier to make a day round trip as I am at least a half hour closer. Took 1 hr 40 min to get here, which is easier for a day trip.

Brain still going non-stop so I ordered a sleep headband with bluetooth speakers and downloaded some sleep meditations and music. Hope it helps. My sleep scores have sucked for weeks.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Now that you have the house and boat stuff squared away (congratulations!), perhaps sleep will be a little easier, Laura.

I’m glad Prubs came thru ok.

Man, you can just see Kenneth Branagh's head swelling to the point that it might lift him off the stage...

Now tagless for your comfort.

I've been Lurky Lou for a bit. But Robin got into DePaul University.

Glad Prubs came through surgery okay.

Glad Prubs came through surgery okay.

She's been very perky today and eating all the fancy lettuce.

Oh good for her! Congrats. And maybe we’ll see you in Chicago every now and then?

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Went into the city on BART for the first time in N months, and of course there was weirdness on the train (a woman decided to change all her clothes in public yay). But I met a friend I haven't seen since the Before Times at John's Grill (the place with the Maltese Falcon) and we had drinks and old-school dinner and caught up on each other's lives and it was great.

For the Bayistas, I will note that John's Grill still does an excellent job with the grilled salmon. It was very very good. And if you ask for a shot of whiskey, they are not shy with the pour.
