I hope you find Scrappy soon, and I'm sorry you have to wait two weeks for a bridge.
I have to go measure the IKEA queen-sized bed frame we're trying to give away. DP decided he wanted to GLUE the headboard and footboard together when we first assembled it three years ago so it would, I dunno, be more sturdy?
Thank Jod I was there to stop him from then gluing the side panels to the head/foot boards, which he was about to do... "If you glue those, too, we'll never be able to get it out of the room, and then we'll be stuck here forever and ever." He saw my point.
Anyway, we can't fully break it down because of the aforementiined gluing, so I am measuring to see whether a potential taker can fit it into her van. I fear not, and I fear it'll end up in the dumpster, and that makes me sad. So wasteful. Maybe I should learn to be a carpenter, and make it into tables or something. Or find someone who just wants some wood to play with.
Thank Jod I was there
I see what you did there.
I got a Chocolate Chocolate chip Walnut scone.
I would like that, please. Maybe the Scone Fairy will fly by my house.
Congrats on the sale, Laura! That went fast, after a long wait, huh?
I hope Scrappy shows up, askye, and that you get a proper new bridge.
I will face Jod and walk backwards into hell before I use the soft 'G'. Sorry not sorry.
Haha! Yes.
See that is exactly the opposite of what hard and soft seem intuitively like they should be. But whatever. Dude can go hang with Jod and have fun. English is dumb.
That's so interesting, meara. How do you feel about hard and soft c?
It is a soft ‘G,’ pronounced ‘jif.’ End of story.
Yup. As I like to say, I like my gifs like I like my gin, smooth on the tongue.
Timelies all!
I put Ben-Gay on the part of my neck that was hurting before I went to bed, and it seems to be a bit better. Stupid stress...
I have some bruises on the side of my right foot from where I banged it into a chair yesterday.(I was trying to get to the main light in the dark.) It's always something.
And do we call it Ben-Jay? We do not.
I'm just going to say it as Giraffic Interchange Format from now on.
I'm literally going to say the whole thing every time. You watch.
Prubs has guinea pig surgery tomorrow. On the plus side, even though it's expensive, we can afford it. On the negative side, I can't quite imagine a little tiny critter getting surgery and being okay.
I mean, it's just removing (we think) a fatty tumor but it would be extremely sad if we lost her. She's a sweet little pig.
Teeny tiny surgery! I’m imagining all the teeny tiny instruments they must use!!
Is hard c like K and soft c like s? Because J seems more a “hard” sound to me than guh (akin to the bouba vs kiki experiment?)
