I’ve decided to start self testing every week for COVID. I feel really exposed with most people at work and elsewhere maskless now. We have boxes of self tests at work, so I might as well use them.

Today’s test has 5 more minutes to go, but all looks negative.

I'm off to a fine start. Came in a little early to be ready for my early meeting, got to the front door and couldn't find my badge. Called everyone in my department, the only one who answered was working from home. Luckily, someone happened to just come by and let me in. Then discovered I hadn't brought my water bottle in to work which always discombombulates me and THEN found my badge in my back pocket, so feel like an idiot. But I have my beloved Petite Breakfast Cheese to eat on newly discovered Brioche Toast which is delightful. Next up, that early meeting, yay

That's a nice thought! So, early meeting was to advise us that we are infact changing our organizational structure a little AGAIN - my current manager is going to focus on a particular part of her duties which does not include my team, they are basically going to promote one of us to supervisor which....I can't really object to, there's no reason not to, but I don't want to supervise and I don't want to be supervised by any of my co-workers BUT no one is laid off or positions being removed or anything so on the whole not too bad

That’s good, but I don’t understand why that meeting had to be so early or so lately announced, geez! But I am intrigued by this petite cheese mention….do tell.

I have a headache which is not (yet?) a migraine but I don’t want to do any work right now. I took painkiller and am hoping it works and I can be productive in an hour or so

I guess he got the ok from the People department late yesterday to create the new position and he's going to talk about it in a department meeting later today so he wanted to meet with us before that because we are the most affected. It's all done with good intentions, I think, just resulted in worry

And I'm about to go into my 4th back to back meeting of the morning, so come to think of it he may not have had a lot of options to schedule a last minute meeting when we would all be available
