Wash: Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction. Zoe: We live in a space ship, dear. Wash: So?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's a happy freezer.

JFC, Epic. What a mess.

In other news, we have a working furnace again! (Of course, the highs for the next few days are in the 70s. Oh, well)

Relatedly, I laid a fire in my fireplace the other week when I was having people over, but never lit it. Then I went out of town, and now it's warm! So it may just sit there until fall?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Guess what the freezer is full of now? Bundt cakelettes into the foreseeable future!

There are worse fates!

March is only half over! Surely you'll get some regrettable snow storm before April.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

The patient portal is called "Follow My Health" and they all refer to it as FMH for short. I'm not sure how much is their fault and how much is you guys' influence that it's become "Fuck My Health" in my head this morning.

The situation's awful and scary, but this did make me snicker. (I'd totally also read it as Fuck My Health.)

Our wings are not tired.

FMH, indeed. To be more specific, F our healthcare system. I'm sorry there has to be so much frustration on top of the stress.

Progressing, slowly, with moving by next Tuesday. Have secured temporary shelter for the cats for the period between being out of here and establishing the floating household. The same woman who I got the cats with to begin with said she could take them for a week or so. Now for the book. Ugh. Why so many books. I have multiple keep bins although I always read from my Nook. But books! My large dining room table is covered with tall stacks of books for SIL's kids, and review by DH, and many stacks that need to go elsewhere. Donating books seems more problematic than it should be. Sigh.

Another full day of packing awaits me.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Health~ma and health system~ma, Epic. FMH seems like quite the ClusterF.

Can you just bring them to the library or Goodwill? (I know my local library only accepts books at certain times.) This must be a huge downsizing!

Maybe, but we are having a warm March -- it's going to be in the 70s today! And of course, like Prince said, sometimes it snows in April.

Library is a pain with a zillion rules and only one day where they take them. My fabulous SIL just told me she would take them all and sort through for herself and take care of finding a place to donate the rest. Phew. Big item. So Many Books. I already am bring tons up north for my house and to give to my reader son and GF.

Another complicating factor is since DH totaled the truck in December we have been renting one. New ones are a year or so wait, and used ones are stupid pricey. He found one in Houston so we will probably buy that one next week and fly out and drive it home, depending on whether transporting it is feasible. The rental is about ~350 a week, so not an ideal situation at all, but required.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Apparently I’m supposed to work today…….again.

This seems excessive.

People calling at 8:30 wanting responses to emails.

Hmmph
