Tomorrow - Caesar salad?
Yes! With extra knives.
Thanks for rhe good wishes .
I liked the dr. I was having a bad day with symptoms so that made it hard to pay attention but also meant she got to see them. She's referring me to an eye doctor, to get a MRI and for Physical therapy. And I have prescriptions one to take at night to prevent headaches (I don't get migraines but I still have issues with them), something to take for headaches as needed, something for muscle tension as needed.
Im supposed to walk 30 mins a day but not during the hours of 11-3 (when the sun is the brightest). Do yoga moves she showed me. Give up caffeine, sugar and cut back on processed food.
She is very into whole body wellness and stuff and I am going to work on eliminating as much caffeine and sugar as possible but I probably won't eliminate all of it.
And she encouraged me to get a lawyer if they delay any of this.
I realized I did have one question. I don't know if I should call her or wait until the workers comp nurse calls me.
The dr said I'd be out of work for 6 weeks but that we would work on accommodations needed etc but then she mare my follow up appointment for 2 months.
Oh and I have to work on my posture and eliminate stress.
David I hope you and JZ have fun at the white elephant sale and find exactly what you want (and maybe a few surprises) .
I'm always a bit lurky at best, and I've been feeling so fatigued so much of the time I've been even less likely to post than usual, but I wanted to give an update so I'm gonna do a big old brain dump. For those of you not following my continued, "well, yes, losing 50-60 lbs is good, but not really knowing how, and also feeling sorta sick since October-November is not ideal" ordeal, please feel free to skip.
I went in for another blood draw this morning - here's hoping the iron supplementation has turned my anemia around. Also got to get a kit for a stool sample and the big ol' jug of "prep" for my colonoscopy next week. All other tests up to this point have been normal enough not to be the culprit. I also have a visit with dermatology on Thursday and ophthalmology on the 28th (not related to the current "issue", just unfortunately coincidental timing). And I'm supposed to be getting scheduled for a CT scan too. I'm pretty sure Sharp Healthcare is going to be charging me rent before the month is out. And as the bills for all these co-pays start rolling in, I'm super glad I signed up for HSA this year. I've been taking this whole mostly-not-feeling-good-for-over-four-months (with bonus weight loss and people telling me I look good and wanting to deny it) thing okay, but I'm really ready for a diagnosis (and to start feeling good again).
Mmmm, taquitos...

I've been there. I dropped a lot of weight when I first foster (failed) a dog and almost had a nervous breakdown. Everyone commented on the weight loss. I told them I had an unplanned puppy and near meltdown and inevitably their reply was, "Well you look great!"
Then a new antidepressant didn't work but made me gain all weight back plus a little more. Such is life. I love my dog.
I hope you get answers soon, Epic. And feel better.
Sounds like your doctor is on your side, as it were, askye, which I am really pleased about! I hope the prescriptions and advice help
{{{Epic}}} I hope you get answers.
I know I have been nodding and shaking my head and thinking responses at the screen a lot but all that is flown into the ether, I'm afraid
{{{askye}}}
{{{Epic}}} Fingers crossed for a diagnosis and feeling better. I really wish people would think twice about commenting on weight loss as though it's always a positive thing. Ptui.
I didn't do it on purpose but I did have quiche for breakfast, and if I have the opportunity this afternoon, perhaps I also shall make some pizza dough for π day. I'm on Day 1 of a 7-day On Call shift, so I need as many things to look forward to as possible. I spent the weekend trying to be kind to myself because an elevated temperature and a bad headache, so I didn't do as much meal prep for my On Call shift as I'd planned. At least my at-home COVID tests have been negative?
Epic, I do hope that all the testing and the glayvin proves useful.
askye, this doctor sounds as if they're definitely taking the time to work through what you need, and I'm very happy to read that.
Laura, your sister is somewhere where people who know what they're doing can look after her, which is what she needs; you can be a little easier knowing that and get on with your packing, which is what you need. (Laura! You're moving onto a boat!)
JZ and have tickets to the legendary Oakland White Elephant Sale this Wednesday:
Ooooh, the Bainbridge Rotary Auction writ large! It is a wonder to me: every year, the grounds of the middle school are overrun with stuff, and every year it happens again.
Matt, honey, the quilt is lovely, but you have to find a place to store the bedding until you have something to put it on. I know this problem well: I love my current place, but I would joyfully lose the bar seating for three more cabinets in that space.
So very frustrating, Epic. I do hope you get some answers soon.
Oh and I have to work on my posture and eliminate stress.
Give up that caffeine, and dump the stress while you're at it. I love the eliminate stress advice. If only that were an easy one. I have managed pretty well on it by deliberate action, like taking extra time on back roads rather than driving on the highway. Cutting down on news consumption and FB, and that type of thing.
The posture isn't that easy a one either! I need to spend less time curved over my laptop and use the desktop computer which is at an appropriate height!

That reminds me! Matt, you do have to find a place for that fountain. Lovely.

So much stuff will be seen! We have to hone our search parameters to keep it tight. I'm sure there are several truckloads of stuff we would find appealing.
