Ohh, I want the Velvet Dreams Quilt. Who doesn't love a velvet dream? I, too, will be checking out that site. Thank you? I think?
Yes, good luck to Laura's sis and to askye. Also hope things are going well with Pix and her dad.
sj, so glad you all got to see him, plus bonus burgers, nice!
I don't have news of my own to contribute. I'm having taquitos for lunch. That's all I got. (They're good).
I am celebrating π day by having pizza and apple pie for lunch, despite knowing I shouldn't have either any more. I am such a rebel!

Yeah, I love the look of that one. I just tell myself I already have two perfectly good bedspreads and a comforter cover, and don't need to buy more until I'm in a house with a guest bed to outfit.
I wanted to celebrate π day by making quiche, but I already packed my pie pans! That does complicate things.
I wish I were having taquitos for lunch, but mostly I wish I were still on vacation in Mexico to have them! I will drown my sorrows in pie.
Go, sj!
Hope the appointment went well, askye.
Good thoughts for your sister, Laura. And I'm excited to see your new marine life!!
I was tempted by the velvet dreams quilt, but I already have a really pretty comforter (along with matching pillows) and it's going to get warmer, so I have to pack away the warm stuff.
And I'd forgotten it was pi day! I had a more or less healthy salad for lunch. Tomorrow - Caesar salad?
JZ and have tickets to the legendary Oakland White Elephant Sale this Wednesday: [link]
Basically all the monied people in the East Bay clean out their vintage furniture and donate it to be sold for charity. Because of COVID this is the first in-person event in two years so we should be able to score some vintage furnishings for the new house.
Thanks for rhe good wishes .
I liked the dr. I was having a bad day with symptoms so that made it hard to pay attention but also meant she got to see them. She's referring me to an eye doctor, to get a MRI and for Physical therapy. And I have prescriptions one to take at night to prevent headaches (I don't get migraines but I still have issues with them), something to take for headaches as needed, something for muscle tension as needed.
Im supposed to walk 30 mins a day but not during the hours of 11-3 (when the sun is the brightest). Do yoga moves she showed me. Give up caffeine, sugar and cut back on processed food.
She is very into whole body wellness and stuff and I am going to work on eliminating as much caffeine and sugar as possible but I probably won't eliminate all of it.
And she encouraged me to get a lawyer if they delay any of this.
I realized I did have one question. I don't know if I should call her or wait until the workers comp nurse calls me.
The dr said I'd be out of work for 6 weeks but that we would work on accommodations needed etc but then she mare my follow up appointment for 2 months.
Oh and I have to work on my posture and eliminate stress.
David I hope you and JZ have fun at the white elephant sale and find exactly what you want (and maybe a few surprises) .
I'm always a bit lurky at best, and I've been feeling so fatigued so much of the time I've been even less likely to post than usual, but I wanted to give an update so I'm gonna do a big old brain dump. For those of you not following my continued, "well, yes, losing 50-60 lbs is good, but not really knowing how, and also feeling sorta sick since October-November is not ideal" ordeal, please feel free to skip.
I went in for another blood draw this morning - here's hoping the iron supplementation has turned my anemia around. Also got to get a kit for a stool sample and the big ol' jug of "prep" for my colonoscopy next week. All other tests up to this point have been normal enough not to be the culprit.
I also have a visit with dermatology on Thursday and ophthalmology on the 28th (not related to the current "issue", just unfortunately coincidental timing). And I'm supposed to be getting scheduled for a CT scan too. I'm pretty sure Sharp Healthcare is going to be charging me rent before the month is out. And as the bills for all these co-pays start rolling in, I'm super glad I signed up for HSA this year. I've been taking this whole mostly-not-feeling-good-for-over-four-months (with bonus weight loss and people telling me I look good and wanting to deny it) thing okay, but I'm really ready for a diagnosis (and to start feeling good again).
