Cracked ice and retro malt are calling to me. Color dependent on everything else. Love the dinette set idea!
We are in the ER. DP may have kidney stone. Just got scan. No beds, so we're hanging in the waiting room.
Oh no! Stone-or-whatever~ma!
Thank you!
Oh dear! Having just gone through a kidney stone with my sister I do hope he has an easier time of it. Quick~solution~ma!
Yikes! Hope they can get that out as painlessly as possible, Jen.
But you know...with a celestial ceiling: [link]
This gets my seal of approval, though I don't know that it would go so well with PNW wood paneling.

We're getting a SMEG! Well, coffee maker anyway.

That's a fair point.

Oh, no no! That's not okay.
Matilda's school bestie says "Yassss!" for anything she loves, but "NOT Yassss!" is her negative.
Love a celestial ceiling, forgot to say.
Thanks for the well wishes. Turns out not to be a kidney stone, so we have further follow-up to do. He has some pain medication now, which is helpful. We are home and have referrals.
"NOT Yassss!"
Love that!
Stone-ma to DP, Jen.
I grew up with a chrome dining set, with yellow ice vinyl on the chairs and matching formica on the table. Ours was fawncy, with a circular chrome support design beneath the table, round backs on the chairs with a big button in the center. When we cleared out the house, we put the table and chairs out on the curb along with the yellow damask tuxedo sofa with moss fringe around the cushions and six-inch bullion fringe around the bottom. Not a piece was left in two hours--midday on a work day!
I love Carl Larsson designs, and those of Karin, his wife. Lighthearted and colorful, that will be beautiful in your living space. Mid-century diner sounds fun, too. And I approve the celestial ceiling, though I could see the attic room painted white with Larsson designs along the ceiling and windows.
Such fun, you guys!
