Updating: cat survived the operation but is not in a great shape. The next 48 hours will tell more. There might be need in another operation in the future, time will tell. ~ma is appreciated.
I am mostly concerned about her stress and anxiety - she hatessss being outside of her territory and with strangers. Other than this and if there won't be complications, I think she has enough determination and dedication in her to live and hate the the world to recover.
Edited: oh, and thank you for the ~ma.
Hope she has an easy recovery, shir.
Sending her all the healing vibes, Shir. Poor Batcat.
Bat cat~ma, Shir.
I just ordered the last of my Christmas food. I grew up eating Pillsbury orange rolls for Christmas breakfast, so I’m taking the easy, nostalgic route there. I’ll be snacking during the day on quince paste and sheep’s milk cheese on whole wheat crackers. Lunch will be a cored pear sliced in half, with brown cheese on top, put under the broiler until the cheese is bubbling. Dinner will be slow cooker pot roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, asparagus, carrots cooked with the roast, and chocolate chess pie, washed down with a nice red wine. Then it’ll be open faced pot roast sandwiches (and pie) half way to the new year. And I’ll be Skyping and gaming most of the day with the family. None of whom are traveling, thank goodness.
It’s not the usual holiday, but I’m looking forward to it anyway.
That sounds lovely, Calli
Shir, I hope Batcat heals well and quickly.
