Aren't they something. They're like butterflies, or little pieces of wrapping paper blowing around.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I do not appreciate plague AND global warfare.

Yeah, and if the war goes on into the growing season, in one of the largest wheat producers on the continent, we may be looking at some famine, too. It's the full complement of Horsemen. (Death's coming as a free gift with purchase.)

I'm glad that COVID and housing issues are going well, anyway.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I had some tasty avocado toast with bacon salt, and I'm pretty sure that's the only thing going on in the world today.

I'm also watching Netflix's Punisher series, and man, this guy rivals Bruce Wayne for reminders that his family is dead.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Feeling like we are on the brink of world war via conflict with Russia is not the kind of nostalgia for my childhood I like.

Dana's toast sounds excellent, though. I ran out to DD's for breakfast and am trying a Shamrock Macchiato because I felt like I had to. I think I like it?

What on earth is a shamrock macchiato?

Our wings are not tired.

Dana's avocado toast sounds yummy. I had avocado, but as part of a bullet drink, which while tasty, was not toast.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

What on earth is a shamrock macchiato?

Is it like a shamrock shake from McDonalds? Because, if so, I must try one!

The picture on the app had some greenness, but the description just says it's made with Irish Creme (a sweetened flavor). Not sure I would guess that was the flavor if I didn't know, but it's tasty if not recognizable.

There is an iced version which may more resemble a shamrock shake, but I went with the hot

Appraisal review is done, no word on raises but I do feel appreciated by my immediate boss which is nice. I have a couple of added projects for this year which I am not crazy about in that it seems like my job is becoming more project management than analysis but I don't feel like really thinking about that at this point as I also just finished my to do list for today and it is long. Sigh.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay for being appreciated!

I think an Irish Coffee of the alcoholic variety would go over well right now. Or two. In the book I am reading a character was sipping ouzo, and that sounded good too. I may be easily subject to many influences.
