"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

What on earth is a shamrock macchiato?

Is it like a shamrock shake from McDonalds? Because, if so, I must try one!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

The picture on the app had some greenness, but the description just says it's made with Irish Creme (a sweetened flavor). Not sure I would guess that was the flavor if I didn't know, but it's tasty if not recognizable.

There is an iced version which may more resemble a shamrock shake, but I went with the hot

Appraisal review is done, no word on raises but I do feel appreciated by my immediate boss which is nice. I have a couple of added projects for this year which I am not crazy about in that it seems like my job is becoming more project management than analysis but I don't feel like really thinking about that at this point as I also just finished my to do list for today and it is long. Sigh.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay for being appreciated!

I think an Irish Coffee of the alcoholic variety would go over well right now. Or two. In the book I am reading a character was sipping ouzo, and that sounded good too. I may be easily subject to many influences.

I dunno about Irish Crème but I did recently order two six packs of non alcoholic sour beers. Sadly they only sell them online, not anywhere locally, but I’ve tried one of each now and they’re pretty good! Sours are one of the few kinds of beer I actually like, but I just can’t do much alcohol anymore, so I was excited to try.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Feeling like we are on the brink of world war via conflict with Russia is not the kind of nostalgia for my childhood I like.

Yeah. Actively fearing nukes is not something I missed.

Same. Same.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

we have a Postmodern Jukebox concert next week.

I went to their show here in November. So Fun! (I, however, did not wear an adorable, vintage-styled skirt, as it was November, and an outdoor venue. On the water. And I was technically recovering from pneumonia. Many layers were worn!)

What -t & Trudy said.

I have an appointment this afternoon for an ultrasound (pelvic) to see if my ladyparts are the cause of my current anemia. So that should be fun. Although one or more of you (can't remember exactly who) gets credit for amusing my doctor - when she was warning me what sort of ultrasound she was ordering, I said, "Oh! Dildocam." She had never heard it before.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

We went to one of their shows on Halloween one year, and the band was encouraging people to come in costume, so I wore my fleece unicorn onesie (though I kept my hood down during the show). Tim wore black leather pants, a dark red velvet smoking jacket, and devil horns.
