I went to see Awesome Doctor today about increasing my Prozac dose and left with (1) increased Prozac dose, (2) new migraine meds (Ubrelvy, which I hope works, though I assume anything would work better than the ancient medication that I take), and (3) a shingles shot. I feel all full of medical goodness.
Awesomeness Maintained! Well done health giver!
We have done something we've never had to do before: We bought home insurance.
Escrow closes March 8th. Getting there.

The whole thing is an endless series of those experiences, and they all come with price tags that seem just impossible. Having good people on your side helps! As does having a closing date in sight, and a good stiff celebratory drink on the other side of it.
Also! I did buy that cute-ass cherry skirt from last week, and it should be here tomorrow, which is good because we have a Postmodern Jukebox concert next week. (And then we see John Mulaney on March 13, and I'm wearing my bee print skirt from the same shop [not miniskirt length like in that post; same just-below-the-knee midi length as the cherry skirt]).

PMJ and Mulaney! That's some quality self care. That'll get you through the winter blues.

And Prozac will get me through everything else.
When we bought the tickets in December, I was like "Fuck, man, Covid is STILL a thing, and these are indoor events with a lot of people!" And then we got Covid Strikes Back in January, and now I'm back to feeling invincible (at least as regards Covid). Even Tim was like "Hey, we can go see movies again! What should we see?" The immediate post-Covid rush of invincibility is the good shit.

There was a meme floating around Twitter the other day which was facetious and snarky and yet also 100% accurate: "These periods between variants are so precious."
And I was like, "Yeah! Remember in the fall when we were all vaccinated against Alpha and Delta and were temporarily bulletproof! We saw movies and shit!"

Open mic blues night at the brewery! With food from Grub Hut and the "Wandering Sasquatch" IPA and lots of big dogs to scritch!
I wish I’d done more in the down times!! But if you are bulletproof like Teppy and soon Hec, work it!!
Go Laura, hope y’all reach a great deal!!
So giddiness at being Omicron proof has been mitigated by Russia invading Ukraine.
Le sigh.
WTF 2020s. You are the worst decade I've ever lived through so far.
Yeah this all sucks.
Texas starts state mandated persecution of trans kids.
Russia invaded Ukraine.
I would like so many leaders to drop dead right now.
