Well, my office is mostly moved. Almost all the computers, etc., are moved. The servers are moved but, seemingly, the network isn't working - I have to log in to the organization's WiFi to get access to it. And there are still some "small" things that need to be fixed. Like the fact that some of the electrical outlets don't work ... reasons unknown. And last week, I was the first (and only) person to notice that we peons in the open office (directors get offices with walls and doors) can only plug in one thing - we do have a two-outlet fixture, but one is dedicated for iPhone/iPad charging. No outlet under the desks. The directors have mini-power strips under their desks but (ha!) they have to get down on the floor, reach up under the desk and somehow wedge the plug in between the outlet and the wall. And there's major construction going on right next door. On the bright side, the restroom is right outside our office door.
additional - if I don't move around for 10 minutes, I have to stand up and walk a few feet because the lights go off - completely - and I can't just scoot my chair over and wave my arms around (although I do that anyway out of frustration)
Todd, your office sounds straight out of Dilbert.
sj, yeah - if I'm dropping that kind of money on a toaster, it's going to be a Dualit combi: I know they're fully repairable.
But I like the pretty colors of the smeg!
Wow, Toddson. I guess getting up and moving frequently is what we are all supposed to be doing...the electrical outlet situation sounds maddening
I am really enjoying typing a whole bunch of 2s on everything I am dating today (and I date all the files I save, so that's a lot of 2s!). I think I may have to get tacos later
You *can* get into the turret, from the attic, if you clamber over a beam; you just can't get *up* into it from below.

See now, I didn't know that. That's what I get for missing the third tour of the place while isolating with Covid.
We're waiting for ltc's Covid test results to come in so that she can hopefully go to her grandparents house for a couple of days. The home test was negative and the doctor who saw her yesterday said it sounds like an asthma flare up but wanted to run a PCR anyway. I was not planning on parenting all day today.
Used one on eBay!
That's not bad, actually - even if I did have to buy the sandwich cage, I wouldn't be that far in on parts. Hmmmm . . . .
But I like the pretty colors of the smeg!
Oh, believe me, I understand! The fridge I want for my fantasy cottage is already a silly number costwise, and with a custom color, it's "win the lottery" money. But it's reeeeeeeally pretty.

Oh, that might be even better
