Happy Birthday Laura!
'Dirty Girls'
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Love this!
Hec, I approve of the floor idea, but then I would. (People who have only known me in this condo would be very confused.) And yes, buy the machine - their appliances are generally well built, and the giggle-inducing name is a bonus.
- whistles "Sumer Is Icumin In" (but quietly, as Jim's in a meeting)*

"Would you like some coffee from the Smeg?"
"Smeg yeah!"
I want some smeg small appliances, but they're so pricey.
The turret isn't actually a space you can get into.
Not gonna lie, that is disappointing. The light is very nice, though. I so love the idea of Emmett and co in your current apartment! It's also nice that the current tenants at the new place get to stay.

I suppose we could build a scaffold inside the living room so you could get up into the turret.
I would sure appreciate it!
sj, yeah - if I'm dropping that kind of money on a toaster, it's going to be a Dualit combi: I know they're fully repairable.
Well, my office is mostly moved. Almost all the computers, etc., are moved. The servers are moved but, seemingly, the network isn't working - I have to log in to the organization's WiFi to get access to it. And there are still some "small" things that need to be fixed. Like the fact that some of the electrical outlets don't work ... reasons unknown. And last week, I was the first (and only) person to notice that we peons in the open office (directors get offices with walls and doors) can only plug in one thing - we do have a two-outlet fixture, but one is dedicated for iPhone/iPad charging. No outlet under the desks. The directors have mini-power strips under their desks but (ha!) they have to get down on the floor, reach up under the desk and somehow wedge the plug in between the outlet and the wall. And there's major construction going on right next door. On the bright side, the restroom is right outside our office door.
additional - if I don't move around for 10 minutes, I have to stand up and walk a few feet because the lights go off - completely - and I can't just scoot my chair over and wave my arms around (although I do that anyway out of frustration)
