I keep forgetting Monday is a holiday. I'm looking forward to having the day off but I am going to have so much to do on Tuesday!

This is an extremely specific to me gripe, but we apparently are sending samples of new cookware out to "influencers" in advance of shipping them to stores, and to make this happened have air shipped a small quantity of a few items over from China or Thailand (I forget which is the COO of these products but I'm pretty sure it's one of those) at pretty great expense but have NO PROCESS IN PLACE to get that inventory into the system so that the orders can be processed and we can actually ship these out to the influencers. I have been poking various departments to get things done so we can ship these stupid things all week and we still can't do it! Argh!

And posting about it made it happen. At least, the inventory is showing as available, someone else will have to confirm the orders are processed.

There's an ice cream kiosk in one of the local malls that always has a few vegan (therefore lactose-free) flavors. Their dark chocolate is just a smidge too bitter, and their raspberry is just a smidge too tart. Both together? *Chef's kiss*

So, finally saw a doctor yesterday. I was (over)due for a yearly physical, but while I was there brought up the stuff that's still giving me trouble since my pneumonia diagnosis (and the antibiotic that I am apparently allergic to), since November. She didn't seem especially concerned (to the point that I was a little annoyed), and was pleased my cholesterol & blood sugar numbers have come back into "normal" range with the weight loss. But sent me for more blood work after my appointment since I had more concerns. Then called me last night to tell me that I have Severe Anemia. And is ordering some (unpleasantly invasive) tests to try to find the cause. So, I'm glad to be finally taken seriously, just hate to have to be all proactive & schedule tests and stuff. I want my body to just fix itself. Can I arrange for that?

And then I had my Annual Review this afternoon. For those of you following along at home, Even More Insulting than previous years. I had such high hopes with the new Supervisor. But no, still ended up angry/frustrated crying before it was done. Right now, I don't feel like I can look for a new job because I'm still using too much sick time and only-semi-authorized work from home time - a new position wouldn't put up with it, I fear. But when/if I get healthy again, I really have to start job hunting again. I really like the people I work with, but I don't want to deal with the consistently demoralizing bullshit that flows down from above anymore.

So anyway, I'm having a super-perky day. TGIF anyway, plus three-day-weekend. So hopefully getting better from here.

Oh, Epic, I'm sorry. I hope the weekend is full of sunshine and rainbows.

Matilda rocks and I'm glad her peers recognize that.

It makes me so mad when I read about the level of harassment right wingers dole out because they are bullies who rely on violence in reaction to ..well some of them to any level of criticism. And then they hold people hostage (in a way ) because no one wants them to turn violent. I know there are some that if the response to their threats was kind of "go ahead, come at me" they would bluster and make excuses and not go through with it. But others would and you can't tell the difference really.

Today I walked some, not as much as I wanted but M and I ran an errand and on the way back he dropped me at the thrift store and I looked around and walked back. Tomorrow I'm going to walk to the library and back if the weather is nice. The thrift store is pretty much completely depleted of good magazines, in part from all the ones I've been buying for collage/junk journal resources. Either that or they get a lot in and then they sell out really quickly. But they had a mini Caboodle I had to grab to use for storage. I keep hoping I'll find something really amazing and weird but so far there's not anything like that.

Laura is on the road home (yay!) and asked me to post that today is Beverly Day!! (Every day could be Beverly Day, amirite?) But today is Happy Birthday to Beverly Day!
