Laura is on the road home (yay!) and asked me to post that today is Beverly Day!! (Every day could be Beverly Day, amirite?) But today is Happy Birthday to Beverly Day!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy birthday, Bev!

I'm officially tired of being isolated in the bedroom.

JZ is undoubtedly even more tired of sleeping on the couch. But she's taking Matilda over to look at the house today so that should be a fun outing for them.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Great news, Laura!

I'm bummed that Gus Kenworthy wiped out on two of his halfpipe runs last night, but thankful the fall on the second one didn't break him in half as it looked like it might have. At least his final run was a decent note to end a career on, earning him 8th place. The wind was whipping most of the skiers around like rag dolls, and I've never seen so many falls in an Olympic competition before.

Raspberry + chocolate is one of my favorite flavor combos.

It is indeed great. I have a tiny bit of Häagen-Dazs in that flavor in my freezer, atop a big tub of similar (but not as good) Kroger brand ice cream

Our wings are not tired.

First, Happy Beverly Day! I hope that you are being spoiled.

{{Epic}} I hope the weekend is renewing and restorative.

I would have liked to have watched more Olympics, but it didn't happen.

Home! I actually stopped at my SIL's salon before I even came home to get my nails done. They are dipped so were still intact, but so far grown out that it seemed I was making some fashion statement. (it had been 6 weeks) It was getting so I couldn't type with them so long. I don't get how people type with long nails. Anyway, home at last and exhausted. I stopped at 7 something this morning to drop off some clothes for Judi at rehab, but just left them at the desk because the notion of walking all the way into where her room is was just more than I could manage. Then drove the 2-1/2 hours back here, with a charging stop in the middle of Alligator Alley.

There was something else, but I forgot. Did I mention the tired part?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Happy birthday, Bev!

Epic, I hope the health stuff resolves quickly so you can get the work stuff resolved.

You deserve a hot tub and a cold drink.

JZ has taken Matilda over to see the new house for the first time. I'm hoping it resonates with her.

Our wings are not tired.

I managed sufficient energy to prune some rose bushes and then sat and enjoyed the nice cool breezes. Dinner is in the oven. Tahini roasted cauliflower and pork chops.

Yum! I have no idea what I'm eating. Whatever JZ can slide under my door, so probably American cheese slices and pop tarts. (I kid! It's a joke from Douglas Coupland's Microserfs.)

I'm glad you didn't lose your sense of taste. I understand it is super freaky.

I hope Matilda loves the house! Have you posted a link here that I missed?
