Much cat-ma for Javier.

I mailed the card for my work exchange today. We were supposed to write a Christmas memory. What I didn’t realize is that we are all going to read our stories around to each other over Zoom and try to guess who it is. So, I signed it! And it is not a very good or well-written story because I thought only one person would read it! That’s what I get for procrastinating to the very last day and then not reading the directions until after I mailed the card!

My exchange cards + a few more are going out today, and the rest I will finish today and tomorrow and mail Monday. I'm hopeful that today's batch will make it before Christmas.

Pecan pancakes for breakfast.

I'm going to try to finish cards today. The exchange ones went out earlier this week.

I'm eating dry Cheerios for breakfast. For lunch yesterday I had a handful of pretzel sticks, and for dinner about a cup of plain pasta, and I still threw it all up. I'm not continuing this drug. I want to, like, eat Christmas dinner, and cookies!

Health~ma to Javier! (My own Batcat is unwell too, but for now it looks like medical recovery food does the trick and she looks better. As long as she's eating, drinking, and using the litter box I'm not involving vets - she's terrified of strangers and leaving the house).

My cards will be out tomorrow morning - very late, I'm afraid, but this week didn't leave me anytime to send them before that.

Well, I get to pill a cat and feed him fancy prescription food for a goodly while. But the vet doesn’t seem concerned. Thanks for the ~ma, y’all.

The mail carrier was in the mail room when I went down just now -- really early for our usual delivery. I'm wondering if they're doing more than one visit per day now. Anyway, I got to hand him my cards directly and say thank you, so that was nice.

My cat would like to sit on my lap right now, but there's just really not room. Settle down and be a side kitty, will ya'?

I didn't do cards this year, because fuck this year. Although I am doing cards for the Buffista card exchange. Uh, next week. So, given the USPS, it's a mystery when they'll show up. But first I have to actually write them and put them in a mailbox. Next week.

My phone is fucking dead. Won't take a charge and won't turn on. I was going to get a new one soon anyway, but now I don't even want to do my run because it won't be recorded and what's the fucking point of doing it without seeing my steps?!! Validate me, dammit!

I think I'm going to make coddled eggs for breakfast this morning. That sounds cozy.
