I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Well, I get to pill a cat and feed him fancy prescription food for a goodly while. But the vet doesn’t seem concerned. Thanks for the ~ma, y’all.

Ugh, Amy. I'm sorry to hear that, and I hope the symptoms side effects clear up soon.

I hope your Batcat continues to do better, Shir.

The mail carrier was in the mail room when I went down just now -- really early for our usual delivery. I'm wondering if they're doing more than one visit per day now. Anyway, I got to hand him my cards directly and say thank you, so that was nice.

My cat would like to sit on my lap right now, but there's just really not room. Settle down and be a side kitty, will ya'?

move out and draw fire

{{{hugs everyone}}} <--- even the anti-hug people because a virtual hug involves no breaching of personal space.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I didn't do cards this year, because fuck this year. Although I am doing cards for the Buffista card exchange. Uh, next week. So, given the USPS, it's a mystery when they'll show up. But first I have to actually write them and put them in a mailbox. Next week.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My phone is fucking dead. Won't take a charge and won't turn on. I was going to get a new one soon anyway, but now I don't even want to do my run because it won't be recorded and what's the fucking point of doing it without seeing my steps?!! Validate me, dammit!

I think I'm going to make coddled eggs for breakfast this morning. That sounds cozy.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Amy, three things that have helped me with feeling nauseated have been candied ginger, ginger hard candies, and pineapple tidbits.

With pineapple, if it doesn't stay down, at least it tastes the same on the way up

I had soft-boiled eggs for dinner last night. They're so good.

Because books.

dcp, heh! Where do you find ginger hard candy?

I'm sorry about your phone, David. That's not fair.

Where do you find ginger hard candy?

My local regular grocery stores sometimes have it, among all the other packaged hard candies.

I also like these two: [link] and [link]

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Trader Joe’s has ginger mints at the register that pretty much got me through my pregnancy and I found some great hard ginger candies at Thrive Market recently.
