Funny thing about black and white. You mix it together and you get gray. And it doesn't matter how much white you try and put back in, you're never gonna get anything but gray.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

My condolences David and sj.

Pix, that has to be hard.

If I didn’t have Petunia, I seriously think I might be dead now. Not kidding. Being single and isolated is crap, although I get that being not single and isolated with the same people is also probably crap. Again, I should be fine- I have a job, I am not so close with my family, but I am not fine. I was offered the chance to go to work and I have been taking it occasionally and those days are my best days.

But we are locking down a bit again, so I don’t know how long it will last.

We have all been asked if we are willing to take the vaccine, and I might have a new project building a sign up for employees to get the vaccine. And those things energize me because ai feel like I am helping.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I'm going to bed an hour early this next week and see if it helps me to start getting up earlier.

I just looked at a Target order I was supposed to get LAST week. I ordered 11/29. Delivery was supposed to be 12/11. It has been sitting in a VA USPS facility for 5 days. DeJoy really f'd them up.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

DeJoy, COVID, an increase in holiday mail order due to changed shopping patterns (more online shopping/shipping gifts to people instead of taking them with on a visit, etc.), FedEx and UPS saying, “Sorry, we’re full” to several of their clients (due to COVID and the aforementioned shopping changes) who then turned to the USPS—it’s a perfect storm.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Fed Ex has been shorting is on trailers all year and it’s gotten worse lately. We don’t ship USPS much but volume in general is unbelievable and every phase in the process has delays at this point fir all carriers.

Not to minimize DeJoy’s fuckery, which has been considerable.

Aw, brenda, it’s like an O Henry story.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

DeJoy really f'd them up.

They pulled out SO many sorting machines.

I paid $60 for dinner but it was delicious. And now I’m playing zoom trivia and getting drunk. Good times.

I know there are far bigger problems in the world. But if I could get a little health~ma for Amyth’s cat, Javier, please, that would be appreciated. He’s having some GI track issues that are necessitating a trip to the vet, and I’m hoping they’re not symptomatic of anything major. Could be he just needs different food. That would be ideal. And not unlikely. On the other hand, 2020.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My cards are headed out today. They may not arrive in time for Christmas but hopefully by NYD. I ran out of our picture cards because I didn't order enough, so the rest are Edward Gorey cards.
