The name of that town always makes me 12.

Just had both today's and tomorrow's standing meetings canceled. That's the kind of Monday morning I like to see!
Same with the dontwannas.
On the other hand, I wrote my self-eval! I half-wrote it on Friday and finished it now! I should wait and re-read it again later, but really I just want to send it off and be done.
I just booked a trip to San Francisco!
March 16-21.
I get it, Jesse. "A solution exists" is a valid announcement! Good job on the eval.
Nice, Matt!
ETA Woot, Scola in SF!

Excellent!
I too am full of don’t wanna.
everything I want to do after work today, which added up to.... about 45 minutes of house tasks, so obviously I'm not also going to do a 20 minute errand today
Hahhha. I totally hear this. There are various errands I have been putting off for a week or more because they somehow feel SO time consuming….they’d take at most an hour and probably less, and wtf am I doing with my time otherwise anyway? But no. I did manage to accomplish one because I realized there was a store near a friends house that I was going to on Saturday, so it was on the way.

I also have the don't wannas, but unfortunately my Monday meetings were not canceled.

Or, what shrift said.
Matilda was having an awful Monday morning. Her period bled through and she had couldn't sleep during the night, and woke up dreary, crampy and with a headache. And then I had to listen to her complain/explain why it was so unfair that they were going to do Tuesday schedule twice this week, and skip Monday schedule. (She has block schedules and Monday and Thursday are her favorites.)
She came out of her room to sit on the couch (which she usually doesn't do in the morning) to drink her coffee and eat her English muffin with cream cheese. And while I bustled around getting her lunch together and handing her ibuprofen she plaintively said, "Don't leave" when I was going to get something. So I just sat with her for a minute and hugged her.
And it was sweet.
