Hey, don't worry about it. Nest full of vampires, you come get me, okay. Box full of puppies, that's more of a judgement call.

Sounds good—it’s a “I should do that at some point in the coming months” rather than “oh shit need them now”

I do want a set of steak knives. Other than that, my chef's knife, paring knife, and serated Ginsu (yes, from TV - a friend and I bought a buy one get one pair!) have been serving me really well.

I have one of these burst blood vessels in the eye, which are generally harmless but look horrendous. I keep forgetting and then shrinking back when I look in a mirror.

Another day, another round of being disappointed by someone who should know better posting support for fucking Joe Rogan.

I'm torn between wanting to know who it is so I don't step in the guacamole inadvertantly and letting my ignorance ride so that the disappointment is a problem for Future Me.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

No one you know. It just really ruined my mood for the day.

Disappointment will do that, like a moldy berry that ruins the whole pint.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I meant to say, that is a bummer, Dana.

Our wings are not tired.

We had a really good potential buyer look at the house earlier. The realtor was psyched. Said it was a great fit and she wants to see it again next week with her daughter who will be down from NY. He also said there were a couple sales nearby that will be public in a couple days that more than solidly reinforce my asking price, which of course he shared with the other realtor too.

I am so ready to have this behind me. All the good~offer~ma you can muster would be appreciated. Another week of doing a bunch of stuff before they come back.... We get so many people pulling up and taking pictures of the sign. This is peak tourist time so one of the best times for home sales here.

Fortunately, I haven't encountered any blatant Joe Rogan fans, although no doubt my brother listens to him. I did have a friend post a 'who the hell cares about Neil Young' type post. I ignored that but did post a nice Neil Young post in my quiet passive response mode, not to her, but on my page. I have limited my FB time to about 10 minutes a day which has helped my life quite a lot.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I haven't run across anyone specifically defending Joe Rogan, but after an online acquaintance went on a long Wake Up, Sheeple! rant about the "inventor of MRNA vaccines" being censored and the shadowy consipracy manipulating the whole world I looked things up and found that Robert Malone is one of the anti-vax propagandists Joe Rogan has boosted. I strongly suspect a lot of his tinfoil hattery is thanks to listening to Rogan's podcast.

It's just so depressing. This is not going to be the last pandemic. We have to get our act together with respecting real science and real information sources, but it isn't going in that direction. In my snarkier waves I recognize that these Rogan types are actually killing off their fans, but a large percentage of those who listen to this crap are just unwitting victims no different than those ripped off by televangelists or car warranty schemes or any of hundreds of scams. It's just sad, and for way too many millions tragic.
