So how about those football games? Honestly, I am a playoff and finals kinda sports fan watching only at end of season for the most part. Of all the the seasons I have watched, this past weekend's playoffs were really exciting, although I did tell the guys from now on I won't bother to watch until the last couple minutes of the last games of the season. Good stuff there. Kinda wish I was on Twitter more as I hear the Rodgers tweets are hi-larious.
Happy Monday all! Did a lot of work this weekend since my brain seems to be reviving at last. Glad I did the funeral. Missed one up north of an old friend, but also another one who was ready. It is always sad, but when you know they were ready you are only sad for the loved ones.
Tom Brady lost in dramatic fashion. That's all I needed. The fact that Aaron Rodgers also lost is just icing.

Absolutely the highlights right there. The last moment finishes on so many was pretty cool and verification that I don't have to pay attention the first 3 quarters, or more.
My city is riding the high of going to the AFC championship game. We don't know how to act because it's been so goddamn long since we've made it this far. Evan McPherson has been elevated to godhood status.
That was pretty godlike. They quoted him as saying they won the championship game before he kicked the goal. To have that level of confidence in what was surely the biggest game of his life, at his age. Yeah, impressive. Don't know anything about him so I hope he is a nice kid too.

I saw that -- before he went out to kick he said something like "Well, guess we're going to the AFC championship game." Love that confidence!
We have beaten KC in the past, but playing the AFC championship game in Kansas City is going to be a challenge. Still, holy shit, the goddamn Cincinnati Bengals are one game away from the Super Bowl. I seriously can't overstate how mind-blowing that is.
Hooray for blue roots! And for Tom Brady losing!
Y'all, Tim has Covid again (Electric Boogaloo). We both took rapid tests Saturday before we visited his dad, and we were both negative. But he's had symptoms like a sinus infection for a few days, so he took a test again today before work and it was positive. I took a test and it was negative, so now we're trying to quarantine in our little house. It's kind of comical. I'm going to take a test again in a couple of days. I don't have any symptoms, although that's obviously no guarantee of anything. He's already let his dad's nursing home know he tested positive. But when we visit we have to wear masks (N95s) and face shields, so I think the odds are very low his dad would get it.
Oh no! I'm so sorry that you have to deal with this again. Sending the ~ma for an easy time for Tim and continued negativity for you.
That's the opposite of fun, Steph.
