Worth the effort!

Not tonight. I couldn’t move off the couch once I got ltc to bed.
Oh no, sj, that sounds stressful indeed!
I got almost no work done again today. I really do need to motivate one of these days but tomorrow is Friday so I doubt it’ll be tomorrow. I did manage to wash some dishes but my house is still a mess I’ve had laundry in the dryer for days, and I’m usually pretty good about taking it out and folding it even if not making it to the “putting it away” step.
The health shit keeps coming. One of my dad's cousins, Tommy,, had a stroke a few days ago and has been moved to hospice. A few months ago he was diagnosed with Parkinsons. This cousin was like another brother when Dad was growing up, most of the stories Dad tells about his exploits as a kid begin with "me, and Lee and Tommy..." . Dad was driving him and Lee over to the hospice to say goodbye.
And this morning M's mom got a call...one of her brothers had a stroke either last night or early this morning and is in the ER and that is all they know.
I'm sorry for all the stress and frustrations and sickness everyone is having.
I'm sorry, askye. The universe needs to pick another target.
sj, I hope it is a calming relaxed day.
That is a lot of things to deal with at once. I’m very sorry.
I can't remember the last time I slept through to the alarm.
Ugh. Sheryl, I hope you were startled awake by a clock today and not earlier by your brain. Sleep until fully rested or the last possible moment.
Thanks Laura, I am glad to see your pixels back!
And I got a text, Tommy died this morning.
Oh, askye, I'm so sorry. Your family really deserves a break. May loving memories comfort those left behind.
sj, I wish you a very chill day.
I’m sorry, askye.
Super delighted and amused with my son’s reaction to wearing boots today. He’s messaged me a bunch of times saying he had no idea toes could be so happy. He’s invincible now. Life is at a new level of awesome. I can’t believe he went through all last winter getting soaked feet in basketball shoes. Maybe in this his 30th year he will get this adulting thing down. In the meantime he is making me grin with the messages.
