My self eval is due Tuesday, just found out today. We're using a new process that maybe will not suck so much, or at least will probably suck in a different way. I'm trying to go into it with a somewhat positive attitude. But it intrinsically requires me to remember what I've done in the past year and I'm really pretty opposed to that.

Hi all! I skimmed a bunch. Much love and ~ma sent. I am a miserable sack of misery here. Surgery for bladder refit or whatever it was called ended up being more complex and I am a big baby with zero tolerance for pain along with the inability to take real pain killers. This too shall pass. My big ambition for the day is to try and shower after 9 days of not managing that task. This too shall pass.
This whole Omicron situation is a horror. All my medical practices are short-staffed with positive people or their family members. My vax refusing SIL and her husband and 1 & 8 year old sons all have Covid. The family friend who argued politics with Brendon on FB for years died from Covid yesterday. Otherwise intelligent and sweet person who fell down the conspiracy well. Several of DH's basketball players positive. He is super careful and has tested a number of times, but I should probably order some home tests for him to make it more convenient.
Anyway, the time it took to type this has exhausted me so I'll try and check in later. (see again big baby)

Ha! That made me snort. Not to brag, but I'm super, super glad there are no self-evals in my foreseeable future. Yeah, no, that was definitely a brag.
Going to see the butt doctor this morning, so that brings it all back down to earth, I'd say. (She's very nice, and she's helping me. Still, butt doctor.)

There's a callout on our internal talent review tool that says remember to think about the whole year and not prioritize recent events and I'm like, dude, I know recency bias is a thing but I can barely remember last WEEK you want me to write a peer review about something they did last MARCH what are you even on right now.
ION 22 people have requested peer reviews from me so I will be hiding under the blankets until they go away.
