It was snowing fairly heavily in downtown DC earlier, but it's stopped. The snow didn't stick, but now it's raining and will probably freeze. oh joy
I just about an inch here and it has stopped, but feels like it is getting colder and the weather says freezing rain.
I finished my MRI. My request to have additional pillows on top of the headphones and ear plugs to help with my anxiety wrt the noise went completely ignored. So now I’ll just be shaking in the corner for the rest of the night.
No snow up in Westchester yet, but we're expecting 16 inches overnight.
Alright, these minor flurries are starting to stick - outta here.
My sympathies to you and your family, sj. Sorry about the lack of additional soundproofing. I know what a difference that can make.
sj, glad you got through the procedure anyway.
I'm shaking a little myself. I haven't yet received the usual renewed membership card for my health insurance plan, so I went to my employer's portal for benefits information, and found that the "future benefit elections" section only showed my HSA contribution, nothing about medical/dental/vision coverage.
I've spent all day trying not to panic at the thought that I might have screwed up my enrollment back in October. My treatment for prostate cancer is ongoing, and I recently started new oral meds and new chemotherapy as part of being enrolled in a clinical trial. Interruption of my healthcare payment plan would mess up all of that.
It took most of the day to get confirmation that my enrollment is okay after all. The details were indeed on the website I was looking at, but the path to the right page was not obvious.
Yep, still shaking.
ugh that is just the worst, dcp. Glad you have coverage.
sj, sorry for the loss of your non-genetic uncle.
Just because it links on the term "MRI" - my son was shoulder-surfing me creating a character for Cyberpunk 2077 and as I selected the options for piercings and cyberware he said "So MRIs aren't a thing that happens in this future?"
The snow was beautiful up around Tysons, but only a dusting at my house to the south. Now it's gloppy rain.
sj, I'm so sorry about your uncle. I hope his wife gets better soon - I feel awful for her and all the kids and grandkids.
