dcp, I am so sorry.
I did go to the zoo, as we have for at least the past 15 or so year, possibly longer. There were significantly more people there this year (and even last year) than in years past, I think because it is outdoors and feels safer. Maria, Aidan and I had dinner, and now I am home. It was nice, but we are all tired. Being a teacher is hard this year and Maria worked yesterday. So I am home. Nothing tomorrow because my uncle thinks we should continue isolated, and he is not wrong. I am “podded” with Maria’s family, but not mine and THanksgiving was fraught. I think Maria and I are going to go see my mom next week.
I'm so sorry for your loss, dcp.
Thanks, all. It's going to take some time to sink in. I decided not to email my mother, I'll notify her after the holiday.
Meanwhile, "Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night."
I still enjoy Sir Humphrey's variation: [link]
Good call, dcp. Take care of yourself.
I intended to do stuff today but that didn’t happen. Doing nothing was actually great, but I probably shouldn’t keep that up all weekend. We’ll see.
I'm so sorry for your loss dcp.
