We went and visited with my MIL. That is the extent of our Christmas socialization. He brought her some good masks as she has been using the plain cloth ones that I use. She is going to the indoor family gathering that I passed on tomorrow and is very nervous, hence the new masks.

dcp, I am so sorry.
I got my first shingles shot today and decorated the big tree. Last year I made cookies for all the neighbors on my block, but that is not happening this year, so I bought some local commercial cookies while I was getting coffee and made bags for the neighbors and delivered those while walking the dogs.
That's all for me this Christmas Eve. I think I will post on IG and FB and see if anyone wants to knit and zoom or just zoom or do other crafts and zoom - because sitting and knitting is all I've got planned for the evening.

dcp, I am so sorry.
I did go to the zoo, as we have for at least the past 15 or so year, possibly longer. There were significantly more people there this year (and even last year) than in years past, I think because it is outdoors and feels safer. Maria, Aidan and I had dinner, and now I am home. It was nice, but we are all tired. Being a teacher is hard this year and Maria worked yesterday. So I am home. Nothing tomorrow because my uncle thinks we should continue isolated, and he is not wrong. I am “podded” with Maria’s family, but not mine and THanksgiving was fraught. I think Maria and I are going to go see my mom next week.
