The NPR podcast Short Wave just this weekend did a bit on how concussions can have long-lasting effects on people's audio processing ability. Yikes!
I have today off for reasons so I walked the dog in the rain, found a cute little wine rack which I carried home, and now I'm going to start a cake for the work holiday party tomorrow.
I admit I'm getting a bit nervous about this event. Considering picking up my meal and eating it in my office, and then going back down to be masked for the White Elephant game... Too many reports of triply-vaxxed people getting omicron.

I am at that I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE stage. I've been triple vaxxed (since the end of October) and things I'm reading from doctors right now indicate that my immunity is already on the wane, when I never even took advantage of the wax.
November and December are always hard months for me, mental-health wise. Knowing that helps, but I'd be running a spoon deficit in the best of times. These are not those.

The stress level everywhere is just so high. I am more relaxed being triple vaxxed, but I don't really go anywhere. When I do go places I am mindful.
Finished my Christmas cards! That was a biggee. Now to finish the house prep. Ugh. Already had a call that someone wanted to come today. Nope. They can come Wednesday. Monday is my crazed work day and tomorrow I have the roof pressure cleaner people here. Thursday to photo crew. Overwhelmed, but it should be over soon.
