Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

What Cindy said.
Very much this. Thank you, askye. That was brave and you are very strong.

Gud, my heart breaks reading your post. The world is better with you in it. From everything you've said, I don't think your marriage is heathly. For anyone. But that is a choice you will have make. We can only offer perspectives and support.

Because fuck that shit. I have no fucks to give in this situation.
You are absolutely doing the right thing. Retail is not law enforcement. But you are being appropriately supportive of K which is good and right.

What is even happening?

Oh my word, askye. Poor K. Good for you for going to bat for her, and what Cass said.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

askye, what you are with your co-worker solidarity at work and your radical honesty here is a big damn hero.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Copy that.

Couldn't say it better.

Awake at 4 AM, again. I really have to figure a way to sleep in more. Read for a couple hours till a decent 6 before making coffee. Now that it is light and the birds are noisy I'll sit out front and drink some of it. I switched to decaf a while back. Don't think I notice any difference. It is still my get awake and going thing.

Thrive to spite them

Thank you. It honestly doesn't feel that brave. It feels a little brave.

I shouldn't be on a screen. But I need some major workers comp ~ma. I have overdone things and I am pretty sure I gave myself a migraine. I talked to an intake person this morning because I had to talk to someone and she was shocked the nurse practitioner gave me "figure it out" as restrictions she emailed my case manager. I called just now and left a message.

I need to both get a neurology appointment but also I need to get another evaluation so I can stop overdoing it. I forgot my sunglasses, went Xmas shopping and then had some screen time which was too much. I was actually out less than what I worked Thurs or Sat but I get tired and my brain slows down and I have trouble figuring out oh I should stop

I'm not going into work today.

Friday it will have been a month since I hit my head.

I'm taking my time typing this. With screen brightness on lowest setting and taking breaks while I make a cold compress and then I'm going to go back and bury myself under the covers with the compress on my head and rest.

I did take Tylenol and it's working.

And if anyone has suggestions about workers comp. If you can email me or message on messenger or text I'd appreciate it.

Our wings are not tired.

Please take care of yourself, askye. Much WC~ma headed your way. Alas, I don't have any tips on working with them.

Punishingly Intricate

Askye, what JZ said and, also, my brother is a worker's comp attorney. His firm is in NC so I don't know if he'd be able to help but I bet he could refer you to someone. I'll message you.

Thrive to spite them

Thank you Lisa. I would greatly appreciate it. I called. Left a message and then just spent 15 mins on hold to be transfrred to the case managers voice mail again.

I am feeling better but I'm going right back to taking a nap
