I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It's wonderful hearing all the Buffista stories of trans family members being loved and accepted!

Yes! Congrats to your daughter on the job offer, too, Gud. That’s exciting!

Shingles vaccine complete!

Our wings are not tired.

Concussions need to be taken seriously. Listen to the advice of the doctors and save yourself from more issues later.

Now tagless for your comfort.

You cannot be too careful when it comes to concussions!

Gud, both my kids are trans. Robin (formerly Owen) and Oliver (former Olivia). Congrats to your daughter—that’s an awesome job offer! (And I am not surprised by her skills.)

Punishingly Intricate

I really hope you are filing a worker's comp claim for your injury, askye. It is 100% shitty of them to blame their hazardous workplace on you.

Huh. I swung by Dunkin' before my shingles shot and they were out of both the Holiday Blend coffee and the Cranberry-orange muffin. They told me they were giving me a blueberry muffin instead, but now that I am getting around to eating it it seems to be chocolate chip. Which is fine, but not one of the options they gave me for a replacement muffin.

The medical facility where you were treated should have asked if it happened at work. You do need to be sure that is on record.

DH is now boosted! He ended up being on both teams now as they only had Moderna and he was Pfizer. So MMM here and PPM for him. It's all good.

I had the option to choose any of the varieties for my booster - I went with Pfizer same as the first two shots because I don't know of any reason not to. Maybe if I'd tried one of the others I could have gotten an earlier date, but I didn't think to try that.

Pity party post. Feel free to ignore.

First, I apparently no longer have any ability to adjust to the time change. I am out like a light at about 9 PM no matter what I am doing, and awake and unable to get back to sleep at 5 AM. I want this madness to end.

Also, the world has gone mad and I don't want to deal. I'd like to get on my still theoretical boat and go out to sea and live on the fish I catch and go to shore maybe once a month to stock up on frozen veggies. That's doable, right?

Thrive to spite them

Yeah I filled worker's comp. As soon as I called the team manager about it she told me to go fill out an incident report. And then Saturday when I realized I had to go see someone I went and called the worker's comp about it. There was never any suggestion that I shouldn't file worker's comp it was more like-- you need to slow down and look where you are going. I should have gone on Friday when it happened but I wasn't thinking clearly and didn't actually say to anyone out loud how bad I was feeling and that it was hard for me to think straight. Although I think it was mostly the one asset protection guy I talked to, I think if I had talked to the AP manager she would have called in the incident report immediately and had me talk to someone who would have figured out I needed to go to the ER.

To be fair, I know I have a tendency to go too fast since I've heard my whole life I need to slow down some and not rush and double check my work. I try but... it's not how my brain works.

Anyway I called and talked to my manager and told her I'm feeling better but my vision still feels off and so I'll go back Wed. And then Wed she's going to put me up at the In Store pick up counter where I can run things (she said "we really need an adult up there" --not that the workers aren't adults but they are all, young and inexperienced with this) and that way I don't have to move around much or look at a screen. The store won't be open on Thanksgiving so I'm not sure what I'll do then, probably pack things or something. We will have in store pick up so I can probably bag up the orders that come in, if any do.

I really should limit how much I've been looking at a screen but it's boring not reading, watching tv, being on my phone, my computer, or doing anything mentally or physically strenuous.
