You were very nearly devoured by a giant demon snake. The words 'let that be a lesson' are a tad redundant at this juncture.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My day started with a zoom group therapy meeting followed by a zoom funeral. Can I be done with today now?

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oof, sj. That is a lot.

Goodness, sj. That's more than one day packed into just a morning.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

My odd name tracking gets another hit; Twins names Sincere and Loyal.

That reminds me of the hilarious dinner conversation my family once had about what to name my sister's impending child if it turned out to be twins (it did not) since her married name was Lee. My favorites were Ho and Mo.

I have made several onerous phone calls today, and I was just about to make another one to find out why the fuck my medical supplies are taking so long to get to me when I got a message that they have shipped. So, yay! One less onerous phone call to make.

Thrive to spite them

I'm basically just killing time before I go to work. I have a lot of tasks for tomorrow and the next day like write Christmas cards and get them mailed. I'm just not in the holiday mood. I kind of am but I wish I could get all of the stress of work out of the way so I can enjoy Christmas, but that's not possible since it's going to run right up until Christmas.

However! I may try to celebrate the 12 Days of Christmas doing something kind of festive and fun even if it's not a full out Christmasy thing.

It's just been such a weird year.

When I worked at the Florida Dental Association there were 2 member doctors who were identical twins, who lived in the same city (who were in different specialties) but had the same first name and different middle names that started with the same letter. So they were like John A Smith , orthodontist and John A Smith periodontist . It was very confusing

Twins with the same first name? Wow, that is either a terrible idea or genius or maybe both. Disclaimer - I think people in the same family having the same first initial is confusing, but lots of people do that purposefully and apparently quite happily

Hooray for onerous phone calls not needing to be made!

I hope you get to enjoy some holiday spirit and festivities at some point, askye. There was a point in my life where I regularly did Thanksgiving dinner in June or July with some coworkers just because we were always working over the holidays.

I hate to say it because I do miss my family, but I am so not stressed about Christmas this year. Most of the gifts I usually buy for people and have to wrap have been shipped directly to their recipients from the website they were purchased from. So, I really only have to wrap things for TCG and ltc. Santa's gifts don't get wrapped as is tradition in my family. We're cooking things we have never really cooked before for Christmas Eve and Christmas day, but if it turns out terrible, who is going to know?
