Best wishes for Tim's dad. I also diagnosed my mom's stroke when she was in a rehab facility - but hers was 100% verbal, no physical symptoms. And I was still pissed that they were speaking to her so little that they didn't notice she had gone to one-word answers. I can't even imagine how livid I would be if they had missed obvious, physical symptoms!
I am currently recovering from my walking pneumonia. Since it only ever manifested in those crazy high fevers and extreme exhaustion, it's hard to tell that I'm better. I haven't had a fever in a week though, and my energy is slowly coming back. Now, though, the side effects I'm having from the antibiotics are really bad. I've got one more day on my 10-day course, then I have high hopes of getting nominal control of my body again.

You're not in Texas, right?
(sorry ... couldn't resist)
Timelies all!
I’m so sorry about Tim’s dad, Steph.
Nothing like getting an early start on Christmas shopping, the package supposedly arriving on Thursday, then Sunday, then for sure today, hearing the truck pull up, checking outside your door to find no package, then getting an email saying it had been delivered, so having to go outside to check your neighbor's doorstep, and then tripping down the three small stairs outside of your house because these fucking meat sacks are a fucking joke.
I'm fine. Just scrapes, and my knees won't be happy that I landed on them. But it's unbelievably not even the first time I've tripped on those steps, and I just have no fucking idea how to work my own feet, apparently.
I am very grateful that I don't have pneumonia, though. Take it easy, Epic.
Fucking meat sacks!
Someone here (I think Jesse) recommended a visual breathing exercise for anxiety. I can find similar ones, but the guy who did that one also had a book I would like to reread. Only I can’t remember the name of the guy or the book! Does anyone else remember?
That sounds familiar, but I don't remember exactly who it was.
In re deliveries, there's a meme around - asks if you're one of those kids who liked to ring people's doorbells and then run away, UPS is hiring (with an appropriate picture).
Getting stuff delivered is both the best (because of convenience) and the worst (because of stupid delivery people).
As is my custom of being late to join stuff I did actually get around to doing the Instagram thing this summer, mostly to see my son's cat pictures. I've tried to follow people whose names I can figure out, but haven't gotten around to actually posting stuff, yet. anyway, if I didn't find you and you post there I am now lauraholtfloats.
I spotted this comment in my wanderings around the internet: I have the social skills of an IT professional.
My neurologist's office has now sent two separate referrals to other neurologists, so I'm on hold to figure out which one he actually wants me to go to, and I've been on hold long enough for the call waiting to beep, me to answer that other call, and return to being on hold.
