Since I usually fly up north to spend Christmas with the family, I'm used to shipping stuff up ahead of time. In other years, I'd have a drink with my sister and then have a frenzied round of gift wrapping in her guest room on Christmas Eve before heading out to a party at the in-laws'. I'm going to miss the first and last parts of that.

Joe Biden won the Electoral College (officially).
Bill Barr resigned (but submitted such an obsequious resignation letter, I was embarrassed for him for a moment, until I remembered what a son of a bitching bootlicker he is) soon thereafter.
I'm trying to remember how I used to take deep breaths on the regular. It's been four years of shallow breathing. We're in the home stretch now.

Me too, Teppy. I'm also worried Barr's replacement will be willing to do things even Barr wasn't willing to do. And I'm leery of (if not exactly worried about) Pence pulling some b.s. when Congress counts the votes on January 6th.

I have to wonder if Trump wanted stuff that even Barr drew the line at -- which would be a line quite lower than the low standard Barr was consistently giving him.
My fave NPR commentator (Andrea Cabral) said that Barr was actually acting properly holding back news about the Hunter Biden investigation (a real one, it seems) because it looks to be exactly the kind of affair that you don't want to spring prematurely if there's substance to it, so that you don't tip your hand and send the bad actors scurrying.
